WJC Roster Finalized
The final cut has been made to the World Junior roster; it's Tyler Motte. Motte played well against Minnesota State, but reportedly battled injuries and did not play in either exhibition in Sweden.
JT Compher was cut prior to the team leaving for Sweden; Andrew Copp is an alternate captain.

That roster has 3 goalies. Teams are only allowed to carry 2. One must be an alternate

Its always been 2 goalies. The 3rd can't play unless another goalie gets injured. The 3rd is basically an alternate. Canada for instance brought a 3rd goalie last year because of the time it would take a replacement to get to the city in Russia the tournament was hosted in.

Demko is the third goalie. He most likely won't play, but he still has to be listed on the finalized roster for the IIHF to allow him to play if he needs to.

I'm hoping this means we have Motte back for the GLI. That would obviously be good for us. If he missed the GLI and the WJC that would just suck

I cannot wait for the announcement of the Olympic team at the Classic. USA! USA! USA!

That's too bad for our players that got cut, but hopefully they'll be playing in the GLI.

For the GLI we will most likely have Nieves-Hyman-Lynch-Selman at center. If Motte can't play Shuart will take one of the wing spots, Sinelli will have the other.
