Don't know what's up with Morgan.  He's slow on everything today.   His hedges are half-hearted and his recoveries are lead-footed and late.  He could easily have another 3 fouls on his sloppy hip checks as Wisconsin drives by him at will.

Totally out of character and why we've seen Morgan on the bench more than usual, I'm sure.

He wouldn't start on this team if it weren't for injury.  What's your point?

I'm the biggest defender of Morgan because people see him miss a "gimme" on offense and don't understand why Beilein has him out there.  He's out there for his defense and particularly his ability to hedge and recover.  That ability can stifle teams that run the pick and roll well.  It's Morgan's strength and even when he's struggling on the boards or on the offensive end, that's what you can usually rely on him for.

However, not today which is totally out of character.

Our offense looks about as good as Illinois did yesterday.  Dribbling around just sort of waiting for something to open up.  Have to attack.  19 points from this group is underperforming no matter how good you think Wisconsin's defense is (and it hasn't been particularly good this season, either.)

Haven't been able to see much of this fortunately. From what I have seen, it appears the refs are allowing a physical game which is definitely not our strong point.

really hasn't found an answer for the defensive strategy being employed against stauskas. and stauskas has not found a way to counteract this defensive strategy.

without stauskas, this offense is not sustainable.

and without a solid offensive performance, our inherent defensive ability is terrible.

absolutely brutal that first half.  4 pts and 3 reb - combined.  their counterparts: brust, kaminski and dekker - 27/19.  pathetic.

Let's not let Stauskas and Irvin off the hook.  GR3 has all 4 of those points - the same as Stauskas.  Stauskas is just 2/6 with 2 turnovers.  We need him to turn it around first - if he can, the rest will follow.

Irvin's lack of offensive production was another huge blow for us.  He plays worse D than GR3 or Levert, but when he's draining 3's that's an acceptable trade-off.  Not so much today.

pulled down 6 rebounds (4 on defense) in his 7 minutes.  the rest of the team grabbed 7 defensive rebounds that entire first half.  morgan and gr3 have ZERO defensive rebounds today.  complete joke of an effort.

Well actually

Is it just me or does it seem like pretty much every rebound has been right to a wisconsin player? I understand that there's some strategy and technique to rebounding, but it just feels a lot like luck. Or, if you're Dan Dakich, the ball just knows it wants to go to a wisconsin player

Robinson's draft prospects from last year have to be the only thing keeping him a starter. Time to send a message and end the charade.
