Losing to a completely unathletic stale BBall team like that is horrible. The inability to foul at the end was inexcusable but it shouldnt even come to that. Play freaking ball and make layups...
Wisconsin Celebrates Victory Over M
This video makes me want to set fire to my mgoblog account & re-register with a username that has nothing to do with this stupid state.
I'm okay with the pope thing staying, but this I take offense to!
Correction, this is the worst fucking thread so far today.
I hate those fucking badgers. That my remote and laptop didn't go through my TV remains a minor miracle.
That was the most painful bball loss I can remember since Bucky shot that three a couple of years ago.
This is exactly why Youtube videos in opening posts shouldn't be able to embed.
I hope they all die young
I thought the attempt at dancing would bring joy after a sorrowful weekend
Big win against the possible National Champs, you'd be jacked as well.
Nice marathon you guys had this weekend, too.
I was watching the gamecast and we were down by like 8 with a minute to go, so I jumped ship to go back to my part time job of Troll. When I got back it was in 1OT. Absolutely crazy.
False. Rushing the court during a regular season game is bush league. Act like you've been there before, Wisconsin. You made yourselves look stupid.
Err false what? If you watched the OPs video you would note that this is in the locker room. I am surprised no one made any cracks at the white kids dancing to Ke$ha. Haha.
Well, I didn't watch the video so sue me. I'm a very busy and important person and I only read portions of posts and try to make up the rest of the content based on what I want to say.
That is a sound strategy. I do it all the time.
I had that thought, but then I noticed it wasn't just the white kids dancing, so I decided Wisconsin in general must have no taste.
why are you telling college students how to celebrate a win
actually who cares, no one is actually going to listen to you anyway.
You clearly did not read my comment above so I'll repeat. I'm a very important person and, as such, people obviously listen to me. My people just ran the numbers and they expect the amount of court-rushers to decrease by 56.6666% over the next five years just from my statement above.
(FYI - on message boards, people post thoughts and opinions. I don't think anyone here expects to really change how others operate on a day-to-day basis.)
still why are you against rushing the court after big wins
- mgoterp (February 11th, 2013 at 12:24 pm): " ... who cares, no one is actually going to listen to you anyway."
- mgoterp (February 11th, 2013 at 12:51 pm): " ... why are you against rushing the court after big wins"
***Logical inconsistency detector at peak levels!***
Why be for it? What good comes from it? Getting to touch the court? Big deal. Getting to be near the players? Big deal? Getting to cheer and dance around with your friends? You can do the same thing in the stands. I just don't get the draw of it, and I've been to some pretty epic games in my lifetime. But I guess different strokes for different folks. That is, until people get hurt.
btw it was sick just now when we beat duke.
It can be a dangerous pratice. I was actually a little worried for our players Saturday.
But why "during a regular season game?" I mean, if you don't during the regular season, when can you rush the court? During the Tournament made up of fans of other teams?
That language is superfluous but I used it in the hypothetical chance that it was possible to rush the court after a championship game. Of course, it'd probably never happen. But it might. Someday. Potentially. Hypothetically. But probably not.
We lost, but then again, when people celebrate like that after beating Michigan, it means we are important again, would they have celebrated like this 3-5 years ago? Not saying I want to continue to see this happen, but just saying...GO BLUE!
Ya I agree. I had to have a tiny glimmer of happiness when they rushed the court. They rushed the court for beating Michigan basketball. I mean before the inexorable upward march that followed the anurism of leadership wou would have ever thought that was possible?
I normally shake off losses and do not let them affect my life. However, I still feel the sting from this one.
99 out of 100 that does not go in!!! SRSLY, how did that go in??
I'll try to think of something else...hmmmm....Armando Gallaraga's non perfect game??
UM would celebrate that much if they were unranked and beat a top 5 Wisconsin team in OT at home.
that is not going to happen any time soon, since Wisconsin is allergic to top rankings
Even if we had beaten said team on our court 14 years & running? I hope not.
if you think the spartans won't do the same, you are kidding yourself.
and if you think that nick stauskas should act really reserved because the last time something happened was when daniel horton was on the team, you have forgetten 18.
Are they dancing to Beyonce?
Ke$ha. Which is much worse in my opinion.
i didnt watch the video...and I dont wanna watch it either...
still not over the loss.
This board is a tire fire this morning. Someone make it stop.
Oh, I wanted salt in my wound and kicked in the dick again... All to go along with my Monday morning.
Edit: Just to be clear, that's salt into a dick wound, then kicked in aforementioned dick.
Levert leveret whatever his name is gave away 2 critical 3s why was he in the game at all
You probably shouldn't speak on his abilities if you don't even know his name.
guys, if Wisconsin won by like 7 or 8, you wouldn't see this celebration. the celebration is mostly because they stole a win with a half court shot. you are placing too much emphasis on michigan here.
OP, did you wake up this morning and say, "I don't have any videos of dudes banging mgobloggers wives, so how can I be an piss off everyone today? I know, I'll post a video of Wisconsin celebrating their win against Michigan!!! That'll do it....Bwah ha ha ha ha."
Get over the loss. Time to BEAT STATE. I understand you live on every single Michigan Basketball game and Football game...but you should probably sack up. The guy banging MGoBloggers' wives sure did.
I thought I was obviously kidding...I do give you points for the sacking up comment. That is funny.
The feeling of subjecting myself to this is probably how Russell Brand felt seeing Katy Perry's boobs last night.
to people who say that this doesnt matter ....this loss makes big ten championsip that much tougher....?
if this was not an imp game and we lost it in the same way ...i wud be ok.
we shud have fouled .....up by 3 with 2.4 secs left............................................
I am ashamed of how butthurt our fan base is...do any of you realize the biggest game of the season is TOMORROW? I understand Saturday sucked but all is not lost.
at IU. The most important remaining road game of the season is tomorrow. And I think u need to give people some slack...to steal a road game in BIG this season against one of the top 5 teams in the league would have been huge. To lose, in OT, with some questionable calls...is tough. To know that u lost to a team that celebrates listening to Kesha...well that just plain wrong.
If we win out we win the BIG...Again, I know Saturday sucked but 3-4 losses were expected but if we take care of business at home and win tomorrow we should be OK
You just contradicted yourself. If Michigan has to win out to win the B1G, how is the biggest game of the season tomorrow? Or are you going for the "every game is the biggest game of the season" route?
I guess I was going that route but I also meant @Wisco and @MSU were are two biggest road tests left. We have to win at least one and since we lost @Wisco the East Lansing game becomes our biggest game (assuming we continue to take care of business at home).
Bucky in the B1G tourney, destroy by 20 and then calmly exit the floor.
We've been victimized by Wisconsin twice now and once by Evan freakin Turner in the last 3(?) seasons. We're due for a big buzzer beater against a real opponent...anytime now would be nice
That pissed since D-Mo missed at the buzzer in 2nd round against Duke.
Too soon. Way too soon.
My son (Wisconsin '92) and I were at the game Saturday. Aside from the no-calls, M's shooting percentage, especially from three-point land (28%) was what did us in, IMO. Bucky turned the ball over 14 times. I don't know how many of those TOs M converted, but in a low-possession (>56) game, that many turnovers coupled with a couple more Stauskas or GRIII 3-pointers could have comfortably sealed the deal. M's defense was pretty good throughout the game (held W to .96 ppp) except for the last 2 seconds which we won't talk about.
After the game I would describe the attitude of the great majority of W fans as sheepish. I walked into a couple bars (the Nitty Gritty and Wando's) in all my M gear and, although each place was packed with happy fans, no one said much of anything to me. They knew damn well they stole a win and most seemed happy just to shut up about it.
Maybe you'd be a bit more OptiMICHtic if you stopped watching videos such as these.
I am more optimistic than 90% of this thread. I just thought the video was funny. Instead, no Michigan fans can take a joke or knock on their team without freaking out a little bit.
How does one become optimistic by not watching dancing videos exactly?
Sorry, I just felt it was the perfect opportunity to make a joke of my own. I thought it was funny at least, but my sense of humor can be somewhat childish at times.
Good, good. Let them think this is a glorious validation.
