Wisconsin BBall Postgame Thoughts
Robinson is as ready for the NBA as I am. Great athlete but no offensive game other than fast break dunks and layups. Not a good defender either.
Lots of standing over on the wing. I know that's part of his job, but he just looked so lethargic and uninspired over there.
Seriously. It won't matter in march if a team needs to get a halfcourt shot to beat us.
903 wins most in college football
I'd like to see 2 bigs start at MSU - Morgan and McGary. Let GRIII come off the bench and actually earn his minutes.
How is Morgan going to get healthy enough to start in 3 days.
We had at least 5 chances to win in the last minute of reg and in OT. Missed them all.
Somewhere between now and the tourney, we need to learn how to finish on O.
M'Dog
Im about to get hammered. That is all.
"Are you an official here?Because you've officially given me a boner."
But why is lavert even I'm the game at the end of regulation? If ur plan is to foul u don't need length
I have imagined great victories, and I have imagined great races. The races are better.
1. It's tough to win on the road in the B1G
2. This team currently lacks the poise to win it all. This comes from youth. When they're on they're so talented they're unstoppable, when they're off, only Burke and Hardaway have the mental toughness to focus and keep the ship on track and that's not enough to win against a good team in a tough environment. This lack of mental toughness results in the missed layups and disappearing acts.
Those freshmen are going to have to grow up fast if we're going to even make it to the final four.

Didn't do enough to win. Make one of those layups toward the end of the game and that three is irrelevant. Actually score points in overtime and we could've won. Didn't have the will.
Denard has spent the offseason working really hard and smiling at people.
John can't hold a lead and continues to lose buzzer beater
Wisconsin made twice as many 3's as us.
Me fail English? That's unpossible!
That seems like a recurring theme lately
"Ohio is like a giant turd that Michigan just can't pinch off"
Wisconsin is the luckiest team in the Big10. Managed to only draw the top 2 teams once.
For those yelling at Coach B at the end of regulation, Wojo tweeted Coach was yelling at players to FOUL! So stop yelling on that point - coach cant go on court and foul.
And when we play as a team, when the old season is over, you and I know.. it's gonna be Michigan again. Michigan.
we were terrible today. Period, didnt' deserve to win. We will do nothing in the big ten, nor in the tournament. Too inexperienced.
"your voice is like a combination of Fergie and Jesus. . ."
I was going to post about the same thing . . . if Morgan was healthy, we win this game. I hope this puts the Morgan / McGary debate to bed. Yes, McGary is better, but he still doesn't defend quite as good as Morgan. Plus, having three bigs to shuttle in and out makes a huge difference.
"It does not matter how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get up." Vince Lombardi
and rebounding is scary awful going forward. We shoot way to damn much. Im tired of fade away Trey. The refs were the refs. Its amazing that we dont get calls at home or on the road. We keep doubling and leaving set jump shooters wide open. Its becoming very frustrating to watch. Why is Mitch getting better while Stauskus and GR3 fading into oblivion?
If I say a duck can pull a truck, shut up and hook the sucka up!
He's more talented.
GRIII is playing 34 minutes per game and Stauskas 32 mpg. McGary is playing 18 mpg. It's easier to stay fresh when you haven't been logging major minutes all season.
if an 18 year old can't stay fresh while playing 32 min per game twice a week, then i have little faith in their ability. especially when the two you mention (stauskus and GRIII) basically just stand in one spot on offense for half of that time.
Do you understand how physically demanding basketball is at this level? It's a little more competitive than a pickup game at the CCRB. Besides, they're not just playing twice a week. They practice 20 hours a week in addition.
Trey Burke admitted recently that his legs were shot as last year went on. But hey, we can't have faith in his ability, right?
if an 18 year old can't stay fresh while playing 32 min per game twice a week, then i have little faith in their ability.
Dude . . . it's cool to play the tough guy on the internet, but there's a reason why they talk about the "wall" that almost all freshmen hit around this time of year. Ability has nothing to do with it. College basketball is a hell of a lot more competitive and demanding on your body than high school basketball. It takes some getting used to, especially at this point in the year when they've now played the equivalent of a full high school schedule.
Also, they don't just play "twice a week" - they're going at it in practice on the days they're not playing - not to mention traveling much longer distances than in high school, and taking a full college courseload to boot.
Also, Stauskas and GRIII have logged heavy minutes. McGary's minutes have increased gradually throughout the year. This might be one reason some of the freshman are struggling. They're also going up against some great defenders. And in case you haven't noticed, the B1G is a physical league.
Stauskas has missed a few open 3's badly in the past couple of games. This is symptomatic of fatigue. They'll work their way through it, but you can't expect perfection - especially from youngsters going through their first B1G campaign.
Wisconsin has our number. Bo Ryan inexplicably has never lost to us, and this year, as well as 2011, have been decided by Wisconsin absolutely ripping our hearts out. That buzzer beater two years ago still ruins me, and then this? That brought back painful memories of Evan Turner.
But aside from whether or not Levert should have fouled, there isn't much you can do about that half court shot. Shoot that 100 times, you'll miss 99 of them. That just happened to be the 1 time. He just threw it up, and I bet he'll be the first to admit it was a lucky shot.
I'm pissed, but that's basketball. We're playing one of, if not the most brutal four game stretch any team in America has to play all year, and unfortunately, 3 of those 4 games are on the road. We'll get over it, and a win against little brother would go a long way towards helping that.
Brady Hoke: Kicking Ass And Signing Names On The Recruiting Trail
Except we beat Wisconsin at home last year...
Blank.....Blank......You're not looking at the big picture here.
or even get to the final four you have to win 4 of the hardest games of the year.
That was atrocious
Call Mr. Plow, that's my name, that name again is Mr. Plow
Say goodbye to the Big Ten title guys. We don't deserve it. Until this team can win a big game ON THE ROAD, they don't deserve anything.
Walmart Wolverines are OK in my book!
If I am close to 7 feet tall why do I shoot sissy lay ups, two hand jam and he probably get fouled.
Also why not foul before the last shot, had fouls to give....Izzo's players know these things!

God Bless his cotton pickin' Maize and Blue heart
Fuck B1G officiating and Fuck Dan Dakich with his bullshit ass crap that comes out of his piece of turd mouth.
Also, I LOVE BELEIN, but please please quit letting teams that you have already beaten take shots to win/tie the game. No one needs to guard anyone who is running towards the inbounder with 2.4 seconds left. You only have to guard guys running sideways or towards our basket. If they do catch it...foul!
If you have someone guarding the ball, then you run the risk of letting the inbounder get free on a play where they pass right back to him.
Also, having a guy back in the three-point area gives you a safety valve in case someone gets free from their defender and gets beat "over top."
There's two philosophies to it. We know Beilein's. Unfortunately, they hit a miracle shot that was well defended.
Now, had LeVert fouled, as instructed, nobody would be saying a word about Beilein's strategy in this specific situation.
CoE Class of 2007
Can you imagine if Hardaway jacked up a 3 to tie the game, with 5 fouls. Can only imagine the Big 10 ref outcry.
And when we play as a team, when the old season is over, you and I know.. it's gonna be Michigan again. Michigan.
I am tired of the poop sandwiches served by the refs on the road in the B1G. What makes it worse is the poop sandwiches the refs served us at home vs. Ohio. Piss poor
I just tried to explain the game to my wife and this was my direct quote: " it was a fucking fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!!"
That sums it up.
Tenim un nom el sap tothom. Barca, Barca, BAAARCA!
I hate this Wisconsin team more than anything ever
At the end there. That is how you lose games. Tough loss, I can think from our loses which have all been close and that will prove to be valuable in the tournament. Time to get plowed.

Need to win out now or at worst drop just one.
