2. This team currently lacks the poise to win it all. This comes from youth. When they're on they're so talented they're unstoppable, when they're off, only Burke and Hardaway have the mental toughness to focus and keep the ship on track and that's not enough to win against a good team in a tough environment. This lack of mental toughness results in the missed layups and disappearing acts.

Those freshmen are going to have to grow up fast if we're going to even make it to the final four.

Dude . . . it's cool to play the tough guy on the internet, but there's a reason why they talk about the "wall" that almost all freshmen hit around this time of year. Ability has nothing to do with it. College basketball is a hell of a lot more competitive and demanding on your body than high school basketball. It takes some getting used to, especially at this point in the year when they've now played the equivalent of a full high school schedule.

Also, they don't just play "twice a week" - they're going at it in practice on the days they're not playing - not to mention traveling much longer distances than in high school, and taking a full college courseload to boot.

Also, Stauskas and GRIII have logged heavy minutes.   McGary's minutes have increased gradually throughout the year.   This might be one reason some of the freshman are struggling.   They're also going up against some great defenders.   And in case you haven't noticed, the B1G is a physical league.

Stauskas has missed a few open 3's badly in the past couple of games.   This is symptomatic of fatigue.   They'll work their way through it, but you can't expect perfection - especially from youngsters going through their first B1G campaign.

Wisconsin has our number. Bo Ryan inexplicably has never lost to us, and this year, as well as 2011, have been decided by Wisconsin absolutely ripping our hearts out. That buzzer beater two years ago still ruins me, and then this? That brought back painful memories of Evan Turner.

But aside from whether or not Levert should have fouled, there isn't much you can do about that half court shot. Shoot that 100 times, you'll miss 99 of them. That just happened to be the 1 time. He just threw it up, and I bet he'll be the first to admit it was a lucky shot.

I'm pissed, but that's basketball. We're playing one of, if not the most brutal four game stretch any team in America has to play all year, and unfortunately, 3 of those 4 games are on the road. We'll get over it, and a win against little brother would go a long way towards helping that.

Also, I LOVE BELEIN, but please please quit letting teams that you have already beaten take shots to win/tie the game. No one needs to guard anyone who is running towards the inbounder with 2.4 seconds left. You only have to guard guys running sideways or towards our basket. If they do catch it...foul!

If you have someone guarding the ball, then you run the risk of letting the inbounder get free on a play where they pass right back to him.

Also, having a guy back in the three-point area gives you a safety valve in case someone gets free from their defender and gets beat "over top."

There's two philosophies to it. We know Beilein's. Unfortunately, they hit a miracle shot that was well defended.

Now, had LeVert fouled, as instructed, nobody would be saying a word about Beilein's strategy in this specific situation.
