Winter Deathstorm: Deathnight

How's everyone holding up? I'm on the outskirts of Columbus, OH and it seems like our entire city is without power. What's weird is the weather isn't even bad, but the Ohio power grid is popping like an old string of Christmas lights, I guess. Knowing the natives, should I be concerned about some sort of purge?

HEY-O!!

Cleared the driveway twice to get kids out of school.  All covered again, and drifting.
Quite the Wonter Winderland.

Will have to rake the roof immediately after snowman construction tomorrow.

I was compelled to slice open the belly of my tauntaun with a light saber and plunge my hands in there to keep them from freezing. At least I think it was a tauntaun, if it was a Starbuck's patron then I may be in trouble. Hey it LOOKED like a tauntaun, don't judge me.

although tempted to reach for my Michigan hoodie, I waited and it passed. Now, it may very well be 72 but still very comfortable.  Actually there is a two hour period if you are still up where it gets nippy. Between 4 am and 6 am, if feels and I would not be surprised to learn that it actually dips into the lows 50s, but normally to sleep at that time and if not am usually enjoying some nice company, so don't worry about me down here in this developing hell hole.

To each their own Jonesy.  I love the snow, love the first feeling of spring (60 and sunny last Saturday felt like heaven), fucking love the summer weather and up north, and let's be honest, fall Saturdays in Ann Arbor is why we are all together on this board.  Sure some cold rainy days suck and it can be gray for a bit too long at times, but we appreciate what we do have even more.

I enjoy visiting the Left Coast, especially in February, but would not change where I live for anything.

What was it, about 72, 73 today?  Hasn't rained in a month.

It's been more than 40 years since I left MI, and I still can't bear the thought of snow, slush, and a low, gray ceiling.

Put a Truman Show-type bubble over A2, hang an artifical sun, and maybe I could tolerate it.  But only on football Saturdays.
