Winston

One thing that still grabs at me from that game, was Winston and all his smack talking after every play....yeah he only had 1.8 ypc or whatever it was, but he had that one TD and it made me want to puke to see that thug score...all the smack that he was talking, made me want to pull a helmet and shoulder pads on and crack him one on the knee.

But the bottom line is you can't take out Cousin's scrambles....75 yards for him + another 122 for the other Spartans. Go back in history and you will see that the team that wins the rushing game wins the game. Year after year... To only have 28 yds in rushing is a joke - MSU's defense has been lousy all year. Bottom line - UofM was and is overrated. Having a midget at QB isn't the solution - he will not last the B10 season- Another joke is RR throwing the punter under the bus on the fake punt - if he made the call then it still falls on the coaching staff- Blah blah blah - bunch of overrated whiners. You lost to a lousy Spartan team - and beat a lousy ND team

I'll feel much better if he gets to the NFL for a short period of time, and becomes an established backup behind a Wolverine great...and slowly fades into oblivion like the rest of the Spartans in the NFL.

Move on. Rambling like you're drunk about a felon isn't going to do anything about yesterday. Focus on Iowa - I assure you the team is.

I'd actually be willing to bet some of the players are still thinking over yesterdays festivities. I bet Mesko is still trying to forget his 4th down audible that might have costed us the game. I bet the O-Line is also thinking over how they couldn't run block for crap, and I bet the secondary is recalling how they couldn't stop any third and longs all day with Cousins scrambling like a giraffe. The team will move on shortly, but there is no way that every player on the team has forgotten the game already. As much as they may want to forget the game, they definitely have not and can not do it with the new technology of cell phones and texting.

I will never, ever, have respect for the Spartans - win or lose - so long as Mark D allows convicts like Winston to play. The man almost killed one of his fellow Spartans. So he got a little jail time. It didn't mean he should have been all square with his coach. He is Exhibit A in this year's "Same Old Sparty" case file.

Especially considering all of the trash talk and his skirmish with the Badger last week - Dantonio kept him around, because Dantonio was thinking about wins. Yet Rodriguez is a "win at all cost" coach for immediately kicking a player off (with a clean back ground check) for screwing up non-violently. The Freep is doing us wonders.

Eh, Winston is a thug and was properly vilified for it. I tend to not cast stones at other team's malcontents too often because we really do not know who will be playing at UM and how their demons will show up (see Feagin, though certainly not on the same level at Winston). MSU runs a reasonably clean program, and I'd rather focus on the upcoming games and opponents than get too annoyed about some nobody running back who was mouthing off during the game. In the biggest game of his life, he was held around 50 yards and 1 TD. He'll probably never play a meaningful down in the NFL, will bounce around on practice squads for a year, then be stuck with no professional options and a rather serious criminal record. That seems like karma to me.

I giggled a little bit when the Big 10 Network announcer said after a Winston run that ended with a stiff-arm: "Winston's just looking for someone to hit."

was after Graham planted Winston in the turf: "I bet the last time Winston got thrown to the ground like that was right before he got put into the back of a squad car."
