Weird how it changes over short differences. I'm in north Florida, pretty much directly south of you, and it's in the mid 70's.

Wow- that's one hell of a home field advantage. The time change, too. But 7k feet above sea level AND freezing cold air? Those Hawaii players' lungs are going to be in pain late in that game.

Hoo-boy. I'm going to the Browns/Steelers game tomorrow and we're suppose to have basically the same weather except we're getting snow too. We got Under Armor thermals for the game plus a shit-ton of other cold weather gear that will hopefully keep the cold at least bearable.
I still like Michigan today and cold or no cold I see a 24-14 victory for the good guys.

There is a slim possibility that I will be there as well, sprung free from Columbus

No - we do the West 6th bar crawl. Prolly start at Bar Louies and then work our way north to the stadium. My 26 year old son (who's going to the game with my wife and I ) has a couple of friends who bartend at Liquid so we usually end there or Golics.
If you're going to go drop me an email at [email protected] and we can swap cell numbers and maybe meet up for a beer.

It isn't much better here in SE Michigan - 30 degrees at Metro Airport with an 18 MPH wind from the norhwest, so it feels pretty damn cold here. That, and the snow squalls that form in the north are surviving long enough to make it messy here.

Yep. Just leaving home for Iowa City.
It's fuggin' cold.
(And we wonder why these kids would rather "stay and play in the South")

Beautiful. That is football weather.

Yep. My fantasy is the B1G Championship being played at Soldier Field or Lambeau, even if it will never happen for a variety of reasons.

in today's weather, pitting Michigan against USC.

That's your fantasy? Penthouse Forum will probably not publish that one.

Best cold weather tailgate cocktail? Hot Vernors & Candian Club.
We have that in AA when it's cold and it's awesome. Simply near-boil the Vernors then pour into a tjhermal with 2-1 Vernors to CC mix. Trust me - makes the cold away and goes down smooth as silk.

Where do you tailgate Bando? We're in the Blue lot - one row closer to the stadium than the Leach/Wangler tailgate and almost directly in front of them. We're against the hill.
Aren't you pretty close to us?

You can bring as many heaters as you want, but if you're not used to being outside in sub-freezing weather, it's going to affect you. It's a totally foreign sensation for people from warm weather. Even NFL teams in warm-weather cities often struggle playing in the cold.
Anyhow, how many SEC teams are actually strong defensively and favor a run-first offense? Most of them are not like Alabama.
