The windchill adjusted temperature at kickoff is expected to be 2 degrees

A nice 20 mph wind with temps in the teens. If you actually traveled to attend this game, tip of the hat my friend. You are more of a fan than I am. I had been hearing rumors this week from friends back home that this might be the coldest game on record for Iowa at Kinnick. Go Blue Vikings in the stands (not the Minnesota kind Lions fans) for the endurance test.

A balmy 8 degrees here in Laramie, WY (wind chill adjusted). Think about this for a second though. Wyoming has a home game today. The opponent? Hawaii. That has got to be miserable for those guys coming from 80 degrees and sea level, to 8 degrees and 7220' above sea level. Yeeesh.

Hoo-boy. I'm going to the Browns/Steelers game tomorrow and we're suppose to have basically the same weather except we're getting snow too.  We got Under Armor thermals for the game plus a shit-ton of other cold weather gear that will hopefully keep the cold at least bearable.

I still like Michigan today and cold or no cold I see a 24-14 victory for the good guys.

No - we do the West 6th bar crawl.  Prolly start at Bar Louies and then work our way north to the stadium.  My 26 year old son (who's going to the game with my wife and I ) has a couple of friends who bartend at Liquid so we usually end there or Golics.

If you're going to go drop me an email at [email protected] and we can swap cell numbers and maybe meet up for a beer.

It isn't much better here in SE Michigan - 30 degrees at Metro Airport with an 18 MPH wind from the norhwest, so it feels pretty damn cold here. That, and the snow squalls that form in the north are surviving long enough to make it messy here.

Best cold weather tailgate cocktail?  Hot Vernors & Candian Club.

We have that in AA when it's cold and it's awesome.  Simply near-boil the Vernors then pour into a tjhermal with 2-1 Vernors to CC mix.  Trust me - makes the cold away and goes down smooth as silk.

You can bring as many heaters as you want, but if you're not used to being outside in sub-freezing weather, it's going to affect you.  It's a totally foreign sensation for people from warm weather.  Even NFL teams in warm-weather cities often struggle playing in the cold.

Anyhow, how many SEC teams are actually strong defensively and favor a run-first offense?  Most of them are not like Alabama.
