A Win Worth Watching Again

Hey guys does anybody know where I can get a video of the highlights of tonights game? I really hated the quality of the MSU network's feed. (Hated the announcers too)

It's correct. If Bemidji hadn't of lost the CHA tournament allowing Alabama-Huntsville to win the conference and the auto-bid as a team that is UNDER .500 (12-17-3) we'd have a decent chance at sneaking in to the at-large with just one win at the Joe next weekend and a little bit of luck. Now it's either going to take one win and a small miracle or the CCHA auto-bid to get into the tourney. Atlantic Hockey is also a conference that will get an auto-bid for somebody that wouldn't get an at-large bid. As things stand now, if nobody else that wouldn't get an at-large gets an auto-bid the top 14 in the PWR will get at-larges. As it is, we'd need about 3 comparisons to even have a shot at the at-large and without the auto-bid, that means basically staying the same ourselves and hoping enough other teams screw up to bump us into that range, which is unlikely. After the ND game, I called we might sneak into at-large with a sweep over LSSU and MSU, a split at the Joe and a little luck, but with the CHA auto-bid going to not-Bemidji, it's going to take a lot of luck. PWR predictor will be out tomorrow which will tell us what luck we need, precisely to get an at-large with a split at the Joe and there may still be a game or two to finish tonight which could change that a little bit still tonight. It's times like this when you think back to the 3rd MSU game and the goal called off because of intent to blow the whistle and the phantom calls at the end of the Ferris State and Wisconsin (outdoor) games (and Bemidji's loss) and go ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! One more win or a tie (or 2) and instead of needing 2 wins at the Joe or 1 win and a miracle, we'd be in decent shape with a split. But that's the way it goes. Let's just hope they can pull it off the conference victory, hopefully we get Summers back for the Joe, I think we go with Hunwick regardless of Hogan's status from here on out.

I don't think Summers will be playing. I was sitting close to our bench, and noticed he had a knee brace of some kind under his suit pants and was not moving well at all.

His injury has been so baffling, at first it sounded like he would be fine for this weekend, then obviously he wasn't. Then I heard that he was limping, then I heard that he was not limping, and now I hear he's not moving well... I just want to know whether we'll have him next weekend or not. Obviously we want him, but I'd take just knowing the extent of his injury in a how-long-he-will-be-out kind of way... I remember all the times he would do the thing where the puck was going to go into the empty net, but then he was there and the other team didn't score and then generally we had a good chance to score or did score and I'm thinking that would be really nice to have going into a(nother) do-or-die weekend with our back-up goalie who, at this point, I think starts the rest of the season regardless of Hogan's health. Hunwick's been good, better than any of us expected, I think, but I'd like to have our best defenseman helping out a little... :-(

Anyone know who's going to be televising the semis and finals at the Joe. I'm in Maryland so getting games is very iffy, especially with so many basketball games pushing hockey off the secondary channels.

which is which, but FSN is doing one semi (I think the early one?) and Big Ten Network is doing the other. FSN gets the final on Saturday and I don't think anybody picks up the consolation final. EDIT: FSN definitely has the first semi, because I just looked it up and BTN has the late semi. We don't know which one Michigan will be in yet. If OSU beats Miami tonight, we'll be in the early semi on FSN at probably 5ish? against Northern If Miami beats OSU tonight (more likely) we'll play in the late semi at 8 against Miami.
