This win feels more like a loss

This defense is absolutely horrible again and it's very frustrating to watch.  Was today a speed bump or is it a sign of things to come?

I do not understand why Kris Pauloski is not kicking.  He was 9 for 9 with a 50 yarder in the spring game et was not invited to summer camp.  Does this make sense to anyone?

Except for the fact that it's not a loss, you're totally right. After the last two years, we should not take any win for granted. Let's just move on to the next one.

I was watching the game here in Vegas. I thought I was gonna start drinking Jack and coke by mid 2nd quarter.
<br>On the positive side DR didn't get hurt or any major injuries for anyone else

Hey, Denard looked good throwing it out there today (after the first throw).

Looking back, I bet the UMass coach wishes he would've taken his dick from out between his legs on UMass's long, 4Q drive.  They huddled after every single fucking play on that drive - they were obviously just trying to make the score look as purty as possible before they took their payday and went back home.   I actually felt confident after that drive, even after the blocked punt, because the Football Gods do not look upon such sissiness kindly.

How do you give up 20 pts in the 4th to FCS school and be excited about that? Our D needs revamped or overhauled, this 3-3-5 shit isn't working. Please go to a 4-3 or 3-4, the less Freshman CB/S on the field the better off this D will be..

Give me a break.  We played a pretty terrible game across the board, but I highly doubt anyone would agree that installing an entire new system would fix any of it at this point; furthermore I have a hard time believing you have any knowledge of the x's and o's to explain why a 4-3 or 3-4 would be beneficial.  Do you have a suggestion at corner that would be stronger than Rogers and Floyd?  I personally think they've played fairly decent for 3 games now.  Analyzing and being criticial of our team is cool, but don't just bitch to bitch.

Also bad, Uconn lost to Temple 30-10.  If MSU beats ND our wins will all be tarnished.  However, a win is infinately better than a loss and we're 3-0.  That's a lot like what I expect out of MSU, so at least we've had a little practice there.  Also, I wonder how much the loss of Brandon Herron (I'm assuming he didn't get in) hurt us in the run game since Roh couldn't play like a DE.

Felt like a win to me.  Imagine if we actually.  Let's improve the D and move on - please keep in mind how inexperienced our secondary is - they could improve significantly over the next few weeks.

So stop the bitching.  A win is a win, move on to next week.  Two years ago, we would have begged for this win.  Last year, we would have said, 'It's a bump in the road". This year, It's a win, on the way to a championship.  Anyone disagree, neg you to death, as you deserve.  Just a bad game.

I love this team, warts and all.  this is a win and plenty of teachable opportunities for the young defense.  we gave up 387 yds to app st. and lost.  work hard in practice and get ready for bowling green.

this is my 1st post but i have to say, you guys sound like the spoiled rich 16 year old who got a 1year old bmw in red with grey interior and pitch a hairy fit because daddy should have gotten a brand new white one with a black interior.  bet when march rolls around you wont even remember the score and fight all the nay sayers about what really matters "WINS & LOSES".

Great analogy, also UCONN didn't get handled by Temple they out gained them by 50 yards but gave up a fumble for a TD. Temple is now 3-0 with a win over last years MAC champion, and they are also coming off a 9-4 season.

I tend to think that a loss feels like a loss.  This would have been the kind that made me want go sit in the car, turn her on, and shut the garage door...but it wasn't.  It's just +1 in the left hand column, where they all look the same.  We're not playing in the WAC where we have to be all that concerned with quality wins and losses.  Obviously we have some issuess, as all teams do, but we are still able to break down film tomorrow and practice this week as an undefeated football team.  I'll drink to that!
