RichRod is an offensive minded coach that is very innovative on that side of the ball, also he is known for finding diamonds in the rough when it comes to recruiting. Saban is an equally good and innovative defensive minded coach. He is also known for hoarding more diamonds than Zales when it comes to recruiting. -UMichGA

You are the biggest idiot in the whole entire world. You just compared a 13-0 coach in a strong SEC to a 5-7 coach in a down B10. If you think Michigan will out Alabama in 2 years you are truly mistaken. Maybe there is sarcasm in your post that I am not picking up.

maybe it's just the Michigan snob in me but I just don't get how someone from the state of Michigan considers MSU and anyone else except Michigan. I can understand wanting to go to Alabama, LSU, or UF but to consider MSU AND those schools AND NOT Michigan is laughable. I understand he may have some connections there or his HS does but I still don't understand not even considering UM. go blue.

Gholston was the jewel of the recruiting class; Bullock might of had the same number of stars but I don't see him being as good as Gholston. Sparty took a huge hit on this one...

"Make no mistake we will dethrone Alabama in at least two years. I think that fundamentally RichRod is a better coach than Saban where Saban is the better recruiter by a close margin." We as in MICHIGAN? I love the Maize n Blue, however, two years we will not be DETHRONING 'Bama... Ingram will be theire SENIOR RB and Saban will land all his recruits... RR needs to learn how to win Big Games before we "Dethrone" anyone. 2004-2005: VT... 2006: Louisville..... 2007: 5-7 PITT?!?!?! 2008: Wisconsin? Getting there. 500th game in the Big House. First win for RR against UW. 2009: ND? Kind of, but Not really. 2010... UCONN is a HUGE game for RR and this team...

the sugar bowl against heavily favored georgia, in atlanta mind you, wasn't a big game? you could make that same list for pete carroll every year to say he's not a big game coach, doesn't make it any more true than what you attempted to do.

Wow, this stinks if you're a Spartan fan. They just lost their biggest baddest recruit that would have been sacking a lot of quarterbacks. Maybe he'll make the smart decision and become a Buckeye like his older brother, that is if he wants rings.

Well it is just rumors at this point and we have had our fair share of recruits decommitting and causing us bad PR and pain, so I won't take joy in their pain. The SEC is doing really well in recruiting...unfortunately.

Carrol does lose the BIG games... Texas? the only real BIG game coaches are Urban and Saban... sure they lose some games... but they don't constantly choke like Stoops, RR, Tressel, and Carroll... and when I say big game... I mean where his team is favored to win, when RR is the underdog, he does Damage. UGA and (even though he wasn't the HC) CHOKE-lahoma... WVU destroyed teams when they weren't even given a serious look at. RR is a competent coach, and I do have faith in him. I just don't see him bringing a NC to Michigan. Maybe a few B10 titles... but teams like Iowa, OSU, MSU, and PSU are going to control the Big Ten bc they have the size. If RR can recruit big linemen and still run his offense, then Michigan makes a case to look like 2007 Oregon and do a LOT of damage to teams...

Saban's squad is favored against Texas and lost to Utah last year. I wouldn't be holding my breath on Saban not "choking" right now. As for RR, do you honestly think he won't bring in big linemen like Oregons'? Do you think he's watching other games than you are, or the trip slightly north made him forget how to coach? Honestly, you people amaze me sometimes.

The only thing MSU is going to control is the Detroit media and the local jails. You're drunk off your ass on eggnog if you think they're going to control anything on the football field with Sam the Eagle running the show.
