Will the OSU game stay at 12:00?

Submitted by wolverine1987 on

Sorry, unusual post, but looking for a quick answer: it seems that often game times get changed based upon TV's whims. Currently it's a 12:00 start, and I just discovered an appointment I made a couple months ago for 1:00, which obviously much now change. I would hate to change it to later and then have the game change on the appt that has to be that day.

I'm on the phone right now getting an answer for you so they can schedule the game in accordance with your schedule. Post your number so I can relay to them and they can call you and sort this all out.

It was announced it will be at noon. Once there's a definitive announcement it doesn't change without unusual circumstance, like the Maryland game.

It almost certainly will.

It would be one of the most watched events of the year if it was a 8pm night games. Not to mention I think the players actually play better when the games are later in the day.
Makes no sense that it's at noon. None!

If it changed it would be to 3:30. I know people still have a hard time believing it, but there are actual rules that state night games have to be announced before the season begins.

You missed the email from the athletic department.  The big ten instituted a new rule for november night games stating that all fans will be physically chained to their seats, stripped ass naked, and forced to eat blue razzberry snow cones for the duration of the game.  Had this change not occurred, fans would have had the luxury of dressing appropriately and/or returning to their cars if they found themselves catching a chill.

Not competing with other night game rivalries, basically getting the noon slot to themselves, has a lot more to do with it than cold temps. If public safety or ticket holder comfort matters at all, it would be concern over ohio fans trashing our town at night. They're intolerable enough at noon

And before any point out lsu-alabama, yes, but both fan bases are intolerable in that case. There's not much to be trashed in baton rouge or alabama
