Nice - good for Will. Hope he can "Fitz" it and hang on.

I see what you did there ;)

Is he on the OL or DL? I remember a team (The Jets?) in the NFL tried to develop him on the OL.

Last I saw he was listed on the OL. Would make sense given the Packers' struggles protecting Aaron Rodgers recently

(Link). I always thought this was the best position for him. He turned into an all-right player there for us. Plus, he'll be getting to work with Jerry Montgomery again.

Yeah. He seemed better fit for OL. He just seemed like he always wanted to be a DT. I guess that changes though when you start getting paid and teams want you at OL.

I have no idea if Campbell will joins.

Seems like a pretty demanding job. Just curious if it is a good living.
Nevermind:

Well, according to SBnation, they get about $6,600 per week that they are on the squad, so it's not bad, but won't make you rich.
"For the 2015 season, practice squad players can make no less than $6,600 per week. While the minimum salary for a rookie in 2015 is $435,000, a full season on the practice squad would earn a player more than $100,000 for the year. Alternatively, without being contractually obligated, players are released with no financial penalty."

Id like like 100,000. Way more than the 3 shillings a week I earn now.

I thought you got paid in eucalyptus?

Ain't nothing wrong with the rub every now and then!

Well, considering the season is almost over, and he just got signed to the squad, he probably isn't in the top 6%.

The Packers signed him to a futures contract which is different than a practice squad contract. Futures contracts have the same minimums as active roster contracts.

"So I drove to St. Joe, walked out on the pier, jumped in the water, and it was cold. Ice cold. No big deal, though. Just hopped on a sturgeon and rode it across Lake Michigan to Green Bay. Had to puch a couple of muskies on the way. Easy day - Go Blue!"
(How I imagine BWC describing traveling to WI from MI - presumably wearing a Thor outfit.)

Good luck to him, and glad to see he got a chance to play, even on a practice squad.

I've only been to Rick's a few times, but every time I have been there BWC has been there as well.

Random bump. Going into the draft, there were about 6 teams legitimately looking at him and half were looking at him as a DT and the other half an OG. He is most certainly playing defense and they signed him to a futures contract so he is still there and will be there this offseason.
If that Packers didn't sign him, he certainly would have been picked up by someone this summer for another shot. It's cool that it's with the Packers, though, because their DLine coach is former Michigan coach Jerry Montgomery.
