Will Campbell back to Defense

Tweet from Adam Rittenberg. Sounds like BH thinks he can coach him up.

Hearing big Will Campbell will move back to defense for Michigan in 2011. Still has potential to be a good run stopper for the Wolverines.

...can get some quality PT out of Big Will it will be a huge boost to this team.  It was one of the things that really hurt RichRod.

How about Q and Will in the middle against bama in 2012?  They could turn that game for us if they develop.

Campbell at NT. Wrecking ball. Collision.

Opposing Quarterback: "Ouch.  Did anyone get the license on that freight...hey, the sky from down here in Michigan Stadium looks remarkably blue.  Hello little birdies...what are you're names? My God, it's full of stars!"

Maybe Hoke just fundamentals (yes, I'm using that as a verb) the hell out of him while he redshirts this year and then he can become something resembling a force at defensive tackle as a redshirt junior.

I'm not exactly holding out hope that it'll happen, but it seems plausible and might be the best way to get two productive years out of Campbell.

If Campbell can't crack the regular rotation, he should absolutely redshirt. I think as a general rule, any player who isn't needed and has a redshirt year available should redshirt whether he's a freshman or a senior.

A good move. If Hoke can develop him into the player we all hoped he would be it will prove to be genius and add some much needed size to the DL. RR did make a good move by redshirting Ash and the bigger of the 2 Talbott's (can't remeber who's who) so hopefully our D-line will have some playmakers for the next couple of years.

this is crazy quick to make this sort of call...IMO...maybe quick is what Campbell wants and the team needs though...who is Hoke listening to in making this move?...what film is he looking at?  I thought Campbell to OL and Q to DL was a great move.  This is interesting.

....coming out of high school but apparently he wasn't good enough for play for our "sort of" defense.....i'm sure BH knows what he's doing by putting him back on D. WC, MM, RVB, CR and JB could form a much better line next year.

Would love to see us have a Detroit Lions-type defense: an awesome D-line that makes up for a below average secondary.  If anyone can get us there, it's a former Dline coach

.....I was growing weary of players being moved  to offense when they clearly belonged on the other side of the ball. If Rodriguez had been allowed, the whole team would have been on the O-line.
