Will a 6-1 start next year unite this family?

Submitted by lilpenny1316 on
I started pouring over next years schedule and thanks to a relatively easy non-conference schedule, especially if J. Clausen goes pro, it does not take much imagination for us to be 6-1 or possibly even 7-0 heading into the game at Penn State. Will that finally mend some wounds and move us towards reconciliation with each other by being bowl eligible so early, or will the curse of being 'MICHIGAN' lead to people saying that these are games we should win every year? If that won't do it, what do you think will make us "All in for RichRod?"

That hasn't changed since Lloyd was coach, has it? Because all I used to hear was we should be Florida, USC, OSU...and he wasn't getting the most out of all that talent it was so easy to recruit to Michigan. I thought the idea was that we needed Rich because his system could do more with less...(see Hail to the Victors). So are we lowering expectations for him now...?

But (and this is also painful to acknowledge) Tressel and OSU have greatly benefitted from us being down. They've now won three straight in Ann Arbor, which should never happen. That's helped them to win Big Ten titles in years when they really haven't been all that great. Outside league play, they've seldom proven their merit.

and 2009 is probably not going away anytime soon. So I will worry about 2010 mending my broken soul when we are Big 10 Champs. Until then I can't talk about this...
