I was hoping that some knowledgable posters could help me figure out what position we're recruiting these four DE/DB-types at. Here's my best guess...
Ken Wilkins. 4-star DE/3-star DE. 6-3, 244/230, 4.61/4.74...I read that he's being told he's going to start off at DE. Makes sense, as he's the biggest of the four we're looking to end up with.
Clarence Murphy. 3-star DE. 6-2/6-3, 230, no 40/5.13...I read that he's being told he's being recruited to replace Brandon Graham at DE. Makes sense, he's the slowest and the second biggest of the four we're going after.
Jordan Paskorz. 3-star DE. 6-3/6-4, 225/223, 4.9/4.74...I have not read anything about what we are recruiting him at, but I've heard that he could be a DE or DB. If Wilkins and Murphy are being recruited as DE's, however, it would seem as though he's being recruited as a DB.
Antonio Kinnard. 3-star LB/3-star DE. 6-4, 210, no 40...I read that he's being recruited as a DB, but I also heard that he could stick at LB. Based on the film I've seen, however, he doesn't have the speed we're looking at in a MLB.
...If I had to guess, I would say the defensive line depth chart looks something like this going into next season:
NT: Campbell, Sagesse
DT: Martin, Banks, Patterson?, TALBOTT
DE: Van Bergen, LaLota, Heininger, WILKINS, MURPHY
DB: Roh, Herron, Watson, PASKORZ, KINNARD
EDIT - DB = Death Backer. lol, I'll just use "Q" for quick from now on. I didn't realize so many posters would actually think I was listing Craig Roh, Brandon Herron, Steve Watson, Jordan Paskorz and Antonio Kinnard as defensive backs. sheesh.
It seems strange that we're so hot after the package deal of Grimes and Murphy with Wilkins coming in at DE, and Christian (maybe a safety?), Avery, Talbott and Witty all coming in at CB, doesn't it? Especially with as little as three scholarships remaining.
