MSU fanbase will be pulling for us big time next week - if we beat Neb MSU can lose to Neb in their matchup and still advance to the championship game. I think technially Minnesota is ahead of us in the division right now ? lol. whatever. We are an also ran - again.

Looking at the box score, it looks like Nebraska actually dominated everywhere except in turnovers (they had four to NW's one), so it was more like NW was on the verge of stealing a win than anything.
Still, wow. Losing on a Hail Mary is one of those experiences that changes you as a fan. I was in high school for the Colorado one against us - it's like my innocence as a fan was lost that day.

True, but the Northwestern players were all going for the ball, and one of them tipped it up in the air. Iow, the pass itself didn't make it to the Nebraska player behind them, the tip did.

I didn't really give a shit about this game after watching our loss to MSU, but that play was basically a re-enactment of Colorado's Hail Mary at the Big House in '94. Watching that highlight gave me bad flashbacks. Fuck, what an awful sports weekend.
