Wife Day 2013 Part 1 Plans

Submitted by JeepinBen on

After much ANGAR, RAGE, and internet stupidity, we have arrived at the first of two bye weeks in the Michigan football calendar. So while you'll have a chance to redeem the mistakes you make this weekend during Wife Day II - Wife Harder, your main excuse to sit on the couch and watch football this Saturday is going back to the drawing board, working on fundamentals, and getting ready for Minnesota.

So, what are you doing this Wife Day?

(Interlude on the history of the bye week being called "wife day" around these parts:

And JamieMac's case against "wife day" as an entity: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/war-against-wife-day)

So, what's your wife day going to be? Building capital so that you can spend it in order to watch the Michigan games in future weeks? Going to a wedding from your friends who still suck because they're getting married on a fall saturday - but don't suck that much because they picked a bye week? Watching football because it's a fall saturday? Or you're not sure if you'll have enough time?

going to Churchill Downs...i don't like horse racing that much, but I do live in KY and I do have free box seats, so why not?....honestly though, I think I'd still rather watch FB in peace knowing Michigan will make no mistakes on Saturday, just hope for some other big boys to fall.

But my GF asked me to go with her.

For Wife Day I plan on going shopping for her, of course that could be because I'm currently in Japan on business. Since I'm here and have to do some shopping for her anyways I'll kill 2 birds with one stone, and even better Sunday morning here is actually Saturday afternoon back home which is good since I have to work on Saturday.

How many other guys can say that they would travel almost 7000 miles to shop for the wife on Wife Day?

Actually pretty nice little Saturday. We're going to Home Depot. Yeah buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed Bath and Beyond... I don't know! I don't know if we'll have enough time!

and needs no 'wife day' as she is worthy of honor everyday.   will coach oldest sons' football games, then salmon fish on the way home with them and whatever of the other children that go with us.   probably barbeque dinner of deer that oldest son shot sunday night and that we butchered up last night after football.

enjoyable reading all of your listed activities.   have fun gang.

On this wife day, my husband will be helping me move the vintage chairs that my company refurbishes - we're selling them at a design market in Chicago. I will have my laptop with me so I can check on scores, but I'm happy that I don't have to miss our game. As for him, he'll have my daughter to watch, but I'm sure he'll sneak in a game or four on TV.
