Initial disclaimer: I like Tate. I think he's a talented kid and is obviously our best option at QB for next year. But he needs to mature. He was saying how he's "not going to let his teammates miss a bowl game." That attitude may be a large part of the reason why there's no bowl. He was trying to do too much out there. He wasn't taking what the defense was giving him. RichRod even told him that on the sideline.
Now he's texting the MSM about how he's going to make sure this team is tons better next year.
I suppose that attitude is commendable on some level (though talk is always easy), but that's not the attitude he needs. He needs to lead as an example by playing sound, fundamental football.
Anyway, he's a kid and needs to mature. I believe that he will do this under RichRod's tutelage. But I wouldn't start sucking his popsicle because he's taking responsibility for the loss or is saying he's not going to let the team do this or do that. That attitude can be dangerous.
