Watching on tv, almost no one wears maize. Is it really that hard?
chance of bowl: 13.6%
BUT, I wear it when it's a maize out. ALL that $$$ they make UM should hand out maize out shirts when u walk through the gate IMO
but damn even in maize outs our fans refuse to wear maize
Adidas only makes Michigan clothing in highlighter yellow?
What annoys me is that the sorostitutes wear dark blue (not our blue) and bright pink instead of maize. Don't stand out, be one with the rest of the student body.
...have autumn complexions which favor clothing in earth and spice tones. You should try wearing Michigan apparel in slate and saffron instead of maize and blue. Alternately, you can do what I do and stay away from mirrors and people who color coordinate.
...it's the subconscious effect of associating the color yellow with cowardice. Also, we're known as the "Go Blue" school, so it could be a little confusing.
It's the Go Blue effect 100%. I ask any of my college football savvy friends who aren't UM partisans, and they think we are all about the blue, none of them think we wear maize to games. So you assume at least 40% of the people in the stands are non-hardcore fans/down in front people and you get why we have so much blue and no real maize out ever.
I didn't see them handing out anything and I usually come in by Crisler.
I guess I should pay better attention...not that it mattered, I came prepared.
Let me get this straight......you're blaming Lloyd Carr because:
Pearlie Graves decommits
DaQuinta Jones decommits
Boubacar Cissoko gets into trouble
William Campbell lacks production
Justin Turner transfers
Anthony Lalota transfers
Brandon Smith transfers
Demar Dorsey doesn't cut it academically
Marcus Witherspoon doesn't cut it academically
Troy Woolfolk injures his ankle
Donovan Warren leaves school early
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense to me.
...it was perhaps too subtle snark in the manner of the Ty Willingham meme that afflicted our friends in South Bend. I could probably should have added all of the other canards that are blamed for Michigan's current problems in addition to the depth issue I noted below, i.e.; "old Michigan", Drew Sharp, negative recruiting, athletic department vendettas, Scott Shafer, and they are all corporationey, and they make money. Matt Damon.
...and inexperience in the secondary?!!!?!!
But, then again, I dig the blue.
We are surrounded by remarkable opportunities to look great in Michigan gear.
I was unaware that this week was a MAIZE out. My tickets for the MSU game said it on the ticket but it did not say it on my Iowa tickets.
is awesome. I'm gonna get a maize colored hat. I can't stand it when Sparty calls it canary yellow
wow..can we do anything right today? lets just forfet the rest of the game that way we only lose 21-7 plz...I can't take another embarassing loss
I wouldn't have worn anything yellowish today, not with a black and gold team as an opponent. Blue all the way today baby. Especially when it is NOT a maize out.
It is *our* color, it is our stadium. If they wear yellow it is only going to enhance the effect. In fact, they would help make up for some of the fans who won't wear Maize.
This goes in the same category as the "why don't people want to stand up for the entire game?" threads.
The answer involves Ceiling Kitten.
