Why Is Isaiah Bell Still on the Roster?

Submitted by Germany Shultz on

Because someone has to ask why, eventually. Supposedly, he wasn't "invited" to fall camp -- whatever that means I don't know, but Brian gave some credibility to that in a MGoBoard comment a number of weeks ago. When Gary Yerden came in as a preferred walk-on, then left within weeks, his name vanished from the official roster. So, what's with Bell and is his spot included in the 27-28 spots for the 2012 class?

If Isaiah Bell is keeping his grades up, going to practice, and doing whatever else is asked of him as a UM football player, then we don't need to be questioning why he is on the roster.

He's on the roster because He's a Michigan Man ForChrisSakes.

And that's all you should need to know to not ask why any Michigan Man is on the roster...

Bell is a RS sophomore linebacker on the team. When we asked this question in spring Bell was a RS sophomore linebacker on the team. When we asked this question in fall Bell was a RS sophomore linebacker on the team. We could ask this again but the answer would come back "he is a RS sophomore linebacker on the team."

Isaiah Bell has a scholarship to the University of Michigan as a member of the University of Michigan football team, thus he is listed. The latest news on him is he switched his number to 34 this year.

...I think it is because no one has seen him in a practice video or on the sidelines during a game.

MRob has played, Furman on special teams, Simmons on special teams, Herron had a huge first game and got hurt, Gordon has been seen and gets asked about every day, Rico Miller has played, Mealer and Ash have played.

Isaiah Bell and Mike Cox have seemed to disappear from everything so people wonder why we haven't see them even on the sidelines during a game, let alone running around when we're up 50+ on Minnesota.
