Who is your favorite Michigan player of all time?
This is likely a cliché thing to ask and post on a message board. If so, feel free to delete. I'm just trying to talk as much football as possible.
If you had to just choose one, who is your all-time favorite Michigan football player? Below is mine.

Sure is.

Didnt wanna toot my own horn. Always said I'd make a better coach than I would a player... Charlie Conaway esque in the Mighty Ducks.

You didn't ask for Top 5, but I give you Top 5 anyway:
1. Desmond
2. Woodson (close)
3. John Kolesar
4. Tripp Welbourne
5. Mike Hart (would contentd for #1 except for OSU record)
August 18th, 2015 at 12:37 PM ^
Eh, can't blame Hart for all of those OSU losses. He didn't play defense and was slighly injured in two of the games, one being a lingering high ankle sprain, which is horrendous for running backs.

Mike Hart would be #1 for me too but for a different reason he is not. Loved me some Mike Hart, but his cockiness killed it for me. Alltime favorite would be Chuck and most recent would be Brandon Graham. BG went through so much shit and still was a beast.

brandon graham did go through a lot yet he rarely failed to produce - nice to see him considered among the favorites / greats by at least some people. i really respect that dudes game and attitude - he was not the most demonstrative player, but any talking he did he backed up with piles of sacks, tackles for loss, forced fumbles, etc.
i could not never choose just 1 player, ive enjoyed so many - but woodson, wheatley, graham, denard, theyd all be up there. liked watching manningham play as well, he was such a smooth route runner but still sudden and explosive

Gotta be Denard for me...

Football: tie between A.C. Anthony Carter and Charles Woodson
(You didn't ask for this, but) Basketball: tie between Gary Grant and Trey Burke
August 18th, 2015 at 12:35 PM ^
Braylon a close second, but only because I have fond memories of him in beast mode vs rivals. If Denard had a chance to win some bigger games, it wouldn't even be close. I have lots of Denard memories, but I wish I had more (like rivalry wins other than ND). But Denard was just so fun to watch when he played. You never knew what was going to happen!

I'm going to have to go with Rob Lytle. The consumate Michigan Man. An All American on the field. A true leader on and off the field, and total team player. RIP.

Let's just go with a top five in more or less any order: Denard, Woodson, Desmond, Hart, and Tyronthony-Chris Wheathomperry.

then AC, then Biakabatuka, the latter for pounding OSU with 313 yards. Also, rushed for 1818 yards in ONE season, the UM record. Will never forget the 313, man was that fun to watch.

I think that was the game that made me fall in love with Michigan. I was born into it, but that game was THE game I felt it. Man that was great.
