Saturday with my dad, so my 2nd fav team is Penn State girls volleyball team.

I'll be a student in a few weeks. Not a bad football school, as far as FCS goes. Excited to see some football, but I'll be watching the OSU game for sure this year.

I've been following UM football since 1975 and got two degrees from UM. But in my youth I did have an MSU phase when Magic Johnson and Kirk Gibson were there plus my oldest brother went to MSU. Admittedly, I'll root for Michigan State whenever they're not playing Michigan. Not so for Ohio State or Notre Dame.

But a hard question. I used to like Penn State and Nebraska, because they were brothers in arms in doing things the right way. Then the 90's happened...and PSU joined the B10 and got really whiney (but still do things the right way), and Nebraska sold their soul to stop losing in bowl games. Then '97, Alamo, joining the conference.... I mean, Hawaii? Who can't root for Island Girls and Rainbow Warriors? 8 months ago this would have been easy, I'd have said San Diego St. Not so much anymore. Maybe Temple and Louisville...but not that much. Temple can have a glorious offense and lose... Slippery Rock, sure...but do I ever really root? Texas would have everything you need...good academics, great football, cool uniforms, nice fans...if it wasn't in Texas. (No offense to a nice state...it's just their football entitlement is a bit much). All I know is I root for UCLA's cheerleaders. Way underrated.
