Who do you all think will be the next WR to wear the infamous #1 jersey? I think it's either Ricardo Miller or Roy Roundtree. What do you all think?

Well Manningham never got to wear #1 so I'm thinking a player will have to be something special now to earn it. Do any of the current guys have it in them? We'll see.

I don't think we can use Mario in the argument. Manningham could have been even better than he was but there was no way he was getting that jersey from Carr. Manningham was fantastic at Michigan but his attitude and off the field *ahem* activities kept him from any chances of receiving #1. If Ricardo can prove on the field that he is deserving of it, he will definitely get it. Even as a freshman, he has the character to earn it. He is more mature than most upperclassmen.

It should be completely obvious when Rich Rod gives it out that player X deserves to get it. Look how many classes came and went without the #1 receiver. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it isn't given out for several years. If it does happen soon I'd say Roundtree. I think this is the year he shows up and breaks out.

If Ricardo produces on field, it's his. #1 - Obviously - is about more than on field stuff. It's about leadership, being a "Michigan Man", work ethic, attitude, etc. Ricardo is really, really excited to be here, was a huge recruiter, and has the drive, pasion and work ethic. So if he produces on the field, I think it's his once he's a junior.

Miller hands down, he recruits his ass off! Loves UM and the tradition.  Can't see why not a young talented kid, who moved his family closer to play his senior year of high school football doesnt deserve it.  Thought stonum was promised it once too?
