Who are you most eager to see perform at the spring game?

Personally I'll go with Cam Gordon. I think our success will hinge on the defense this year and if he can be consistent at the back we'll have a good chance.

Mod Edit: Changed the time of the original post to keep it near the top. Good discussion going on in here

Definitely a combination of all the QBs and RBs. There are just a lot of things I hope to take away from the game. Is Denard improving as well as reported? Is Tate improved at all? How close is DG to them? I'm excited to see all the RBs, too. Also curious to see what the crowd turnout is. Hopefully we can break a record, but I doubt it will happen this year.

I cant disagree with the OP. I want to see the myth of Cam Gordon in person. Hopefully I'll leave thinking its more real than myth.

Kinda how I felt about Forcier going into the spring game. Hopefully, I'll feel as good walking out on Saturday as I did about Tate last April

look like he has command of the offense. That would be gynormous to have both him and Tate able to run the offense. That would give us more options with the offense, and allow us to safely redshirt DG.

I definitely wanna see what Devin can do. Also want to see if T-Rob and Gallon will be able to provide some extra explosiveness in the slot this year. Hopkins and Toussaint at RB. Want to see Taylor Lewan as well. Defense have to say hopefully see Big Will blow up some plays, Cam Gordon and Emilien play well. I guess the entire defense.

He has posted many times that he is a 6'4" 245 lb football coach. It would amuse me to see a 5'7" 130 lb guy with a jersey down to his knees.

I do tend to agree with what he says and am comforted by his observations when incidents like "Conway" happen.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Denard is capable of with more experience in the offense.

Also want to see what kind of a beast the offseason turned Roh into.

at Sigma Chi a couple weeks ago at a free barbecue. He's the scariest person ever, though I haven't been face to face with many linemen. He was wearing this lumberjack flannel shirt, but he looked so solid that the air around him was pushing people away. He seemed like a really friendly guy and was chatting up almost everyone there. Mealer and another lineman were there later when I passed by.

Also saw Ben Cronin. Goofiest motherfucker ever.

I'm surprised nobody is curious about him. The implication with all this talk about Denard and Devin is the Tate hasn't really progressed that much. Is he still injured? Is he really as unspectacular as message board posters make him out to be?

Because the potential that Tate showed last year was pretty incredible. I'm sure Denard has learned some new things, and I'm sure that Devin is quite the physical specimen. What I can't figure out is how Tate went from being one of the top freshmen in the country to "spring practice afterthought" with a lot of people.

Is the one who is catching the ball 15+ yards down the field. I want to see this player's hands, route running, and his chemistry with whichever quarterback can stretch the field a bit.

This player and how he is utilized is extremely, extremely important to our offense and is the difference between scoring 24 pts/game vs. scoring 34 pts/game.

Aside from Roh, I don't have very much confidence at these positions, so I'm hoping some under performing upperclassmen and some young guys can step up and be impact players at these positions. I feel really good about the rest of the team aside from these positions.

Heard absolutely nothing about Roundtree this spring.

How does a guy who comes out of nowhere and ends up leading the team with 30+ catches over the last few games disappear from the radar?

I'm all happy about Denard and Devin impressing, but jesus fucking christ, give me a legitimate weapon in the pass game. The coaches should be finding ways to get Roy the ball 5-10 times a game. He clearly can be effective. I find it hard to believe his performance at the end of the year was a fluke.

This is the main thing that drives me crazy about Rich Rod's offensive scheme. Defensive coordinators don't need to know a damn thing about any of our receivers. There's not one guy that they can sit there and say, OK, we're double-teaming him and taking him away. That guy should be Roy Roundtree. And when teams have to pay attention to him, guys like Stonum, Hemingway and Odoms should be able to find the open space.

Maybe Roy's not stepping it up or riding the momentum he built up, but that doesn't make sense to me.

This is where Tate comes in. I know people seem to think he's slipping behind the competition, but he's the guy who can target a receiver like Roundtree and get him the ball with accuracy when they need a completion. I want to see Tate light it up again at the spring game and rise up to meet the challenge he's getting from the uber-athletes.

It's nice to hear a lot of guys may be contributors this year, but we really need go-to guys who WANT the ball when it matters to step up. I'm sick of the haphazard nature of our pass game.

Sixty-some posts and I haven't seen these two guys mentioned yet, so:

Big Will Campbell and Justin Turner.

Hell, I want to see the improved JT Floyd as well.
