Who all is going to Penn State?
October 28th, 2010 at 11:28 PM ^
I am! Leaving tomorrow at 1, hitting the hotel in Lamar, then tailgating all day Saturday! Just putting together a tailgate cd, with a finishing touch of Brad Nessler's "Touchdown Manningham! Michigan wins!".
October 28th, 2010 at 11:30 PM ^
did u find the mp3 for touchdown manningham?
October 28th, 2010 at 11:36 PM ^
i actually found a website that converts youtube videos to mp3s. I have Ufers Anthony Carter call, the Manningham catch, and Bo's the team speech, along with a dewey oxburger quote and Bill Murray from Kingpin quote, along with some good tunes as well.
October 28th, 2010 at 11:29 PM ^
if you were but couldn't dig up people willing to skip "awesome Halloween parties"
October 28th, 2010 at 11:32 PM ^
Well there was a compromise made. We're leaving around 8 AM Saturday morning because of this reason.
October 28th, 2010 at 11:34 PM ^
priorities people lol
October 29th, 2010 at 7:46 AM ^
looks like a time dependent wavefunction. I made an observation on my particular situation and landed at a node where the probability of me actually watching the game is 0%. Damn you Michigan hockey scheduler
October 28th, 2010 at 11:39 PM ^
I found a pair of tickets on Craigslist for $67each....and the guy was willing to negotiate.
I called my buddy in Chicago but he couldn't make it in. So instead, I'll be hunting Saturday until the game comes on.
October 28th, 2010 at 11:50 PM ^
They were either fakes or the guy does not understand the whole theory of supply and demand.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:51 AM ^
I got hooked up with tickets (i think through a student) for $45 two days ago ... the kids are just real down on their team
October 28th, 2010 at 11:49 PM ^
Flight leaves at 11am MDT. Packed and ready to go. My buddy and I are staying with his lil bro who goes to PSU.
I will get some abuse considering I'm the only M fan in the group, but not as much abuse as PSU will get Saturday.
I'll say it loud and proud all day
GO BLUE

October 29th, 2010 at 12:02 AM ^
Happy Valley is nuts. Be prepared to get heckled all damn day because Penn State fans absolutely hate us. The abuse only gets worse as the day goes on and as the alcohol consumption grows exponentially. But, that's part of the fun for road tripping M games. Enjoy. That stadium is loud as hell.
October 29th, 2010 at 12:02 AM ^
Represent Michigan well! Go Blue!
October 29th, 2010 at 12:36 AM ^
Taking off from Toledo, Ohio and headed there tomorrow to get ready for the game. Can't wait. Go Blue!
October 29th, 2010 at 12:40 AM ^
I wish I was....
October 29th, 2010 at 12:51 AM ^
I would have liked to leave Friday and really take in the whole experience, but, we got a huge playoff game against a cross town rival tomm night/tonight. Hopefully we can pull that win off and then i can really enjoy Denard running up and down that field saturday night. I am really looking forward to this game, since it is the first night college football game I would have attended. I'm sure I will have a great Idea of what to expect after Saturdays game when Notre Dame comes to Ann Arbor next year. Cant wait!
October 29th, 2010 at 1:11 AM ^
Gonna be staying with a friend of a friend. Apparently our mutual friend did not tell him he is welcoming a couple Mich fans into his apt, because he told me to "be ready for white out"
.....also he asked me to pick up a couple bottles of everclear since we're driving up from Maryland and it's not sold in PA. This. Weekend. Will. Be. Interesting.
October 29th, 2010 at 1:21 AM ^
...and looking forward to a '97-esque demolition of Penn State on Saturday!
This weekend will be interesting indeed. Go BLUE!!
October 29th, 2010 at 1:23 AM ^
My mom decided to be Momtastic and surprised me with tickets to the game. We are road-tripping tomorrow after work (thank you 8pm game). See you in the visitor section (i.e. SPACE!)
October 29th, 2010 at 1:47 AM ^
This guy!
Going with my housemates to Greensburg, PA first, then trekking over to state college saturday. Should be a great day, just have a good feeling about this game; my first time in happy valley
October 29th, 2010 at 3:03 AM ^
Cause I live in Cali....brah.
October 29th, 2010 at 3:11 AM ^
You betcha. Also doing the Saturday morning compromise, but I'll be in the press box so drunkenness and tailgating isn't really on the menu anyway.
October 29th, 2010 at 6:07 AM ^
October 29th, 2010 at 7:05 AM ^
Heading from A2 to Happy Valley and expect to roll in about noon Saturday. Not sure of any plans from there - we are going to play it by ear.
Picking up one son-in-law (M Grad) in Sandusky and my other son-in-law (M Grad) and daughter are driving up from North Carolina. It will be a great road trip.
Any ideas for where we should go?
I truly feel that M will put a beat down on the Nittany Lions. I hear a corner being turned.
Go Blue!
October 29th, 2010 at 7:44 AM ^
Anyone in the NKU section in the extremely high rows, around the 90's. I'm hoping we are not in a bad section, I got the tickets through MGoblue.com so they should be where all other M fans are sitting, just making sure.
October 29th, 2010 at 7:56 AM ^
Yup. NKU row 89. At least we'll be able to see the whole field, just might not be able to tell what is going on with it
October 29th, 2010 at 8:33 AM ^
My wife (UM Alum), myself (UM Alum), the sister-in-law and her boyfriend (both current UM students) will all be there in section NKU. Pretty high up if I remember. Leaving early Sat morning. Just hope we can get the cow bell in...
October 29th, 2010 at 8:03 AM ^
Driving up to Happy Valley from Philly. There are about 20 of us who rented a house for the weekend. Tailgating all day Saturday. More PSU fans with us then M fans but at least there will be a few of us busting their balls all day. GO BLUE! The tailgate scene there is the real deal!
October 29th, 2010 at 8:44 AM ^
We will be leaving Philly around 8AM and tailgating all day!! My first time in unhappy valley, GO BLUE, and I mean the Maize and BLUE!
October 29th, 2010 at 8:28 AM ^
i'm heading up around 1pm saturday i'm about 2.5 hours away in York PA, going up with a PSU buddy of mine. Looking forward to BLUE victory.
October 29th, 2010 at 9:57 AM ^
Live in Lancaster, PA and will be leaving around 11:30ish to take in the sights. Making sure I wear my maize so it somewhat disturbs the white out.
October 29th, 2010 at 9:58 AM ^
October 29th, 2010 at 9:58 AM ^
I'll be there. A buddy of mine and I are leaving Sat morning and staying Saturday night in brookville: the closest cheap hotel we could get.
Go Blue!
October 29th, 2010 at 10:28 AM ^
Section NK, row 38 I think. Leaving early Saturday morning from my brother's place in Detroit.
Also staying Saturday nite in Brookville, at the Quality Inn. Anywhere closer was either booked or astronomically priced.
October 29th, 2010 at 10:36 AM ^
My wife and I will be there. First time to Happy Valley. She's a big PSU fan so I'm praying the aftermath won't be pissed off pouting after Michigan runs up and down the field on them. Visiting Gettysburg today before heading up to State College tomorrow.
Section NE, Row H

Is that a midwest term or a southern one? Who all came up with that? I'm gonna try working that into my daily conversations.

Celebrating halloween in aa tonight (cant wait) and then blowing out of here at 7 am with 4 buddies tmwr morning
October 29th, 2010 at 12:15 PM ^
Have a great time and root for all of us back in Michigan. Careful driving through Ohio - we know how the cops are with Michigan plates, especially after a tOSU loss.
October 29th, 2010 at 12:15 PM ^
So does anyone have travel advice? Any routes that are better than others coming from Ann Arbor? I hear the traffic is a nightmare.
October 29th, 2010 at 2:10 PM ^
T-minus one hour and counting!

Just went by the RV lots...Maize M flags are proudly waving in the breeze (and sleet/rain)
FYI. Tickets can be bought for around $60. Someone earlier said fakes, but here's the official page and you can print them off the internet.

I didn't purchase a parking ticket/pass so any suggestions?
