Who all is going to Penn State?

Submitted by Helloheisman on

Just wondering who all is heading out for the away game? I have all of our stuff ready, as we are heading out tomorrow! RV'ing it, talgating it (halloween style), and hopefully see unhappy valley in full force with a Michigan Victory!

I am! Leaving tomorrow at 1, hitting the hotel in Lamar, then tailgating all day Saturday! Just putting together a tailgate cd, with a finishing touch of Brad Nessler's "Touchdown Manningham! Michigan wins!".

looks like a time dependent wavefunction. I made an observation on my particular situation and landed at a node where the probability of me actually watching the game is 0%.  Damn you Michigan hockey scheduler

I found a pair of tickets on Craigslist for $67each....and the guy was willing to negotiate.

I called my buddy in Chicago but he couldn't make it in.  So instead, I'll be hunting Saturday until the game comes on.

Flight leaves at 11am MDT. Packed and ready to go. My buddy and I are staying with his lil bro who goes to PSU.

I will get some abuse considering I'm the only M fan in the group, but not as much abuse as PSU will get Saturday.

I'll say it loud and proud all day

Happy Valley is nuts. Be prepared to get heckled all damn day because Penn State fans absolutely hate us. The abuse only gets worse as the day goes on and as the alcohol consumption grows exponentially. But, that's part of the fun for road tripping M games. Enjoy. That stadium is loud as hell.

I would have liked to leave Friday and really take in the whole experience, but, we got a huge playoff game against a cross town rival tomm night/tonight. Hopefully we can pull that win off and then i can really enjoy Denard running up and down that field saturday night. I am really looking forward to this game, since it is the first night college football game I would have attended. I'm sure I will have a great Idea of what to expect after Saturdays game when Notre Dame comes to Ann Arbor next year. Cant wait!

Gonna be staying with a friend of a friend. Apparently our mutual friend did not tell him he is welcoming a couple Mich fans into his apt, because he told me to "be ready for white out"

.....also he asked me to pick up a couple bottles of everclear since we're driving up from Maryland and it's not sold in PA. This. Weekend. Will. Be. Interesting.

My mom decided to be Momtastic and surprised me with tickets to the game.  We are road-tripping tomorrow after work (thank you 8pm game).  See you in the visitor section (i.e. SPACE!)

This guy!

Going with my housemates to Greensburg, PA first, then trekking over to state college saturday. Should be a great day, just have a good feeling about this game; my first time in happy valley

You betcha.  Also doing the Saturday morning compromise, but I'll be in the press box so drunkenness and tailgating isn't really on the menu anyway.

Finishing up some last minute things this morning, then heading over to mom and dad's house to pack up and go. Went in '08, and hoping for a much better result this year! Cannot wait to be on campus tomorrow tailgating, and then being in the whiteout wearing the maize among all the PSU faithful. GO BLUE!!!

Heading from A2 to Happy Valley and expect to roll in about noon Saturday. Not sure of any plans from there - we are going to play it by ear.

Picking up one son-in-law (M Grad) in Sandusky and my other son-in-law (M Grad) and daughter are driving up from North Carolina. It will be a great road trip.

Any ideas for where we should go?

I truly feel that M will put a beat down on the Nittany Lions. I hear a corner being turned.

Anyone in the NKU section in the extremely high rows, around the 90's. I'm hoping we are not in a bad section, I got the tickets through MGoblue.com so they should be where all other M fans are sitting, just making sure.

Driving up to Happy Valley from Philly. There are about 20 of us who rented a house for the weekend. Tailgating all day Saturday. More PSU fans with us then M fans but at least there will be a few of us busting their balls all day. GO BLUE! The tailgate scene there is the real deal!

Live in Lancaster, PA and will be leaving around 11:30ish to take in the sights. Making sure I wear my maize so it somewhat disturbs the white out.

I'll be there.  A buddy of mine and I are leaving Sat morning and staying Saturday night in brookville:  the closest cheap hotel we could get.

Section NK, row 38 I think.  Leaving early Saturday morning from my brother's place in Detroit.

Also staying Saturday nite in Brookville, at the Quality Inn.  Anywhere closer was either booked or astronomically priced.

My wife and I will be there. First time to Happy Valley. She's a big PSU fan so I'm praying the aftermath won't be pissed off pouting after Michigan runs up and down the field on them.  Visiting Gettysburg today before heading up to State College tomorrow.

Have a great time and root for all of us back in Michigan.  Careful driving through Ohio - we know how the cops are with Michigan plates, especially after a tOSU loss.

So does anyone have travel advice?  Any routes that are better than others coming from Ann Arbor?  I hear the traffic is a nightmare.
