Who is the 3rd best Wolverine in the NFL?

Submitted by 1464 on

Random thought crossed into my head.  I'd like to see opinions on this.  We know that Tom Brady is moderately successful, as is some octogenarian named Charles Woodson.  So who takes bronze?  Graham?  Harris?  Woodley?  Hall?  Long?  Martin?  We have two current HOFers and then a list of guys I'd consider pretty good, but not greats.

What says you people?

Albert Wistert was the first Wolverine to to elected to the NFL Hall o Fame.  He's also in the College Hall of Fame as well, let alone having his number (11) retired by the University of Michigan.

He's pretty much rough to beat.

EDIT:  If this is current Wolverines, from a previous post the pickings are pretty slim and maybe in time someone will emerge.

I agree with Harris, but I feel like a lot of people are sleeping on Hall. I don't see many Bengals games, but I feel like he is solid every time I watch them and I seem to remember him being really damn good for a while. He has to be a close fourth.

I've always thought an interesting question is with WR and RB alums. They haven't translated well to the NFL for the past twenty years or so for the most part. Edwards, Breaston, and Manningham have all had a couple big years but not much longevity. Terrell and Walker didn't do much. Avant has quite possibly had the best overall career of any receiver since Tooman. RB is just a disaster. A-Train won ROY, but injuries got him after that. Perry was the same. Hart had ACL problems. Biakabatuka and Wheatley played a while, but I don't remember them being great. I think Askew stuck somewhere for a while. I have no answer for that one.

While he's just starting out and still wouldn't be top 10 on this list, I'm curious as to whether we count Rawls or not? Had some great games this year. Could see more playing time if he gets traded or they have more injuries.
