Which side of the Civil War do you support tonight?

With the Oregon-Oregon State game tonight, who are you rooting for knowing that the winner plays our least-favorite buckeyes? I'm pulling for the Ducks as I think they'll give osu far more problems than Oregon State.

I'm concerned that even though Oregon is a more explosive team, that if the Ducks win and face Ohio State the buckeyes might be able to play smashmouth vs. the Ducks in the same way that Stanford did. It does seem that Ohio State has more talent that the Cardinal. Anyone else concerned about this? I wonder if the Beavers are a less talented but a more fundamentally sound opponent.

I like Oregon simply because they have looked dominant most of the year. Sure they stumbled against Stanford, but other than that I think they are the better team here. Should be a fun game, and as others have noticed one of the few times it will have national significance for both programs.

It will be dry and chilly. The 6 pm PST kickoff is about an hour after sunset; temp will be on its way down from an afternoon high of 46 to an overnight low of 25. There has never been a game of this importance between these two; no one has talked about anything else. I think there will be a bunch of turnovers by both sides. I guess I'd take the 10 and go with the under. Nat'l Weather Service forecast

I'm ambivalent. I'm just happy that it will be someone other than USC in the Rose Bowl for a change. I tend to root for the Big 10, including Ohio St. Naturally, I root harder for some teams than I do for others though, so I don't really care who Ohio St faces. MSU can eat a dick though. They're not the elite of the Big 10 like OSU, so they can choke for all I care, assuming Drill Sergeant D-Bag will actually allow his team to go to a bowl! UPDATE: To whomever negged me, you sir, are a true Michigan Man. May Bo and Ufer be with you. I see you hold by the mantra, "Michigan Men before Big Ten."

Oregon all the way. Not because I like Oregon more than Oregon State, but because Oregon will have a much better chance of beating Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. I find it very frustrating that this is the first trip by OSU to the Rose Bowl in about 11 or 12 years and they DON'T have to face USC in a defacto home game like every other Big 10 team has had to do since Slick Pete took over the Men of Troy. I would have loved to have seen a good USC team (the 2009 version is not that good) go up against OSU in Pasadena and take them behind the woodshed....again.

has anyone else noticed how little press coverage this game seems to be getting??? I watched ESPN, Sportsnation, etc this morning and none seem to care about this game in the least. It's as if football west of Texas does not exist.

Oregon. No, I don't hate them like some of you do after they beat us in 2003 and 2007. That just goes to show you that spread teams can be killer. They were a good team. Go ducks
