Which home game are you looking forward to most?
9/8 Western Michigan
9/15 Southern Meth (CJK5H...A)
9/22 Nebraska
10/6 Maryland (Homecoming)
10/13 Wisconsin
11/3 Penn State
11/17 Indiana
--------
Could be for a variety of reasons: the opponent, hanging out with friends, can only make it back for one game, etc. Big hitters are Nebraska (they'll out-hit everyone even if they lose by 40), Wisconsin, and Penn State.
Here's my order:
PSU
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Western Michigan
Maryland
Indiana
SMU
What sayeth the board?
The away ones
The "away ones" aren't played in the greatest stadium in all of football so no.
I'm most looking forward to 9/8. It will be an emotional day, as seeing the guys take the field and be able to hit that banner for the first time in 2018 will be special.
Haha, yeah you're right. Sarcasm is king online tho, no? In all honesty, Nebraska, Wisconsin AND PSU all at home in one year ain't a bad home schedule at all.
Actually I'm the King of online... King of online Bolivia that is.
Sarcasm is definitley royalty on the world wide web though haha.
Holy Jesus, I see that. I present to you rare 2 points
Only 100K and change to go, kinda like my retirement savings.
Those commercials didn't pay much, huh?
I’ll tell you which I’m most nervous about and that’s Nebraska. Those boys hit so hard they’ll knock you into next week
/s
I want to shut up that AD from Nebraska but psu is the big one. They are in our division and they embarassed us last year. The rest of the games are eh.
They're a flash in the pan. I'd be surprised if PSU won 9 games this year.
They have put together two successful seasons in a row, winning the Big Ten two seasons ago and last year they went 11-2 and won a major bowl game.
they lost 2 DTs, 2 LBs, and their entire secondary, possibly the best RB in school history, leading wr in school history, TE freak, and their OC.
Would be VERY impressive if they were able to pull of 10 plus wins this year.
Curtis Enis, and Franco Harris might disagree. He might be the most athletically gifted, but I'm not a big Barkley fan. I watched a ton of his tape, and he avoids contact, and never runs through people. That might not work so well in NY with that Oline.
It'll be like the game against us in 2016 for the whole season.
Got to admit, Franco Harris and Lydell Mitchell - now that is a backfield.
Larry Johnson looked pretty damn good his senior year...
Edit: LJ was mentioned.
Successful programs can keep it up even with large attrition from graduation . I hate to say it but Dantonio has proven this (yes , I know he had the 3-9 season) and so have Meyer . We shall if Franklin can do so too.
Moorhead is by far the biggest loss. IMO, he is the reason for the vast improvement in PSUs offense in general and Oline specifically. Time will tell.
see no evidence or reason to believe that PSU is some kind of fluke.
They could flop this year no doubt but they are still the most important home game next year. A loss to the badgers or even the cornfuckers is bad but it wouldn’t hurt our chances of getting to Indy as much as a loss to psu would
I've heard that kind of rosy scenario around here before.
"Michigan will reassert its dominance over MSU. Dantonio is overrated."
"Urban Meyer will have another "health issue" when Harbaugh gets here. He can't take the pressure."
I think PSU takes a step backward this year and it is unrelated to how Michigan's season unfolds. They are without the 2 chess pieces that allowed them to become a very good team-- Barkley and Moorhead. We'll see.
after the beating they gave us last year, I would really like to pay them back with a serious beat down this year.
Whichever game is at night...so I can sell it.
I bet you’re one of the 25-thousand sitting fans that make Michigan Stadium “the quietest 100,000 in the country.”
No doubt......the "down in front" crew.
I would reaaalllllly like to get back to destroying Penn State again.
We're only a year removed...
That’s far too long.
... At this moment, ALL OF THEM. I just miss football, and I'm hopeful (perhaps foolishly) that the boys will bounce back this year. Almost more than anything, I'm praying that it is a lot less negative in the crowd this year. I know, that starts on the field.
GO BLUE!
Always the next one
(I feel your post, man)
Should be a stiff test, and it is now time to shift the pendulum back towards a beatdown in our favor. McSorley is an interesting player. He is very effective, but I still do not know howe manages to complete so many Moon balls. We will see what he is made of without the luxury of having Barkley and Gesicki making him look like an All-American.
as fond as I am of the Pony Express, the game to circle is PSU. Up until that point they will have missed nary a beat without Moorhead, But perceptions of both teams will change dramatically once we finish shellacking them.
Wisconsin and PSU for revenge (I'd love for another 49-10 pasting of Franklin) and Nebraska to shut up Scotty boy and his mom.
Whatever game(s) my friends and I decide to make it back for so we can shoot the shit and get hammered like old times at Dominick's before walking (read stumbling) into the game
I want to beat them back to the stone age to show this team is for real.
Penn State - I want their jerseys to be red when they leave that night. Also guessing that this one ends up at night. Pretty good chance they come into that game 7-1 and you all know I think we will be 8-0. It's also after our bye, so everyone will be chomping at the bit to get back on the field/into the stadium.
My ranking:
PSU
Wisconsin
Nebraska
Maryland
Indiana
Western Michigan
SMU
Penn fucking State. Payback is gonna be a bitch.
EDIT: We're now at 117 days until kickoff.
Penn State. Only Penn State. I will readily admit Michigan got outclassed by PSU this season, and they were out for blood after two straight seasons of ass kickings. But it should be a great matchup this season, and I'm betting they will be the night game. We'll find out how good McSorely really is next year. Barkley isn't around anymore, and neither are several of McSorely's top pass-catching targets.
Wisconsin should be a great one too, but I could also see that game being as exciting as burnt toast. Another one between two great defenses where the first team to 17 wins.
Whichever games we can get back to A2 for - those will be my favorites. When you miss so many home games, the ones you do see live are that much more memorable no matter the opponent. Jealous of you guys that are still local.
from my home, on my own couch, my own toilet, my own fridge, my own smoke
Sweet revenge.
Definitely Penn State. We need to get a little get back from those tree jumpers, when we ride on our enemies.
Depressing that we can label at least four games on our schedule as "revenge" games.
For that reason alone I'll pick Nebraska.
I'm with you on Penn State.
I will flip two and three.
The rest okay.
Dude a bunch of big name game's this season.
I can wait though. I want some summer!!!
Nebraska- have a large group coming for Omaha that are great people
Wisconsin- always a big game and a test
Psu- revenge game.
Wisconsin. I was there in 2016 and the atmosphere was electric. I'm hoping for another top-10 matchup in which we come out on top again!
Me too that wisconsin game had to be one of the most electric atmospheres ive ever been too. After the Lewis interception that place erupted
