Which hat will Chris Bryant be picking up?
Sorry, nothing revelatory here - just impatient and curious.
To me this seems like a huge recruit (no pun intended) for Michigan. I'm a bit nervous about Magee's last minute influence to reel him in last night. It does not help that Magee was just fired by Michigan, has developed a good relationship with Bryant, and would know just how to spin the experience he just had at Michigan. Does anyone have any word on what way Bryant is leaning?

Seeing as how he hasn't talked since this interview, I think we can still go by it as the latest information.
General consensus is that he'll go blue but I'll still hypothetically neg BKFinest if he shows up to say it's a sure thing.

Bryant to Hawaii.
BKfinest it.

Thats impossible. They lost June Jones, who he dug for being chill
January 28th, 2011 at 6:21 PM ^
I think the better question is, which one of his prime sources told you this?
January 28th, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
Dude. He BKFinest'd it. He doesn't need to name his sources. It's a done deal.

Is he making his announcement at a Simeon basketball game, ala Antonio Poole?

Bolivia Tech.

I heard Jim Leavitt's doing a great job down there. Of course a lot of that has to do with Mike Leach as his OC.

Tenuta as DC.

Also Mark Mangino as the buffet coordinator.

You need to save these for when we get our +1 powers back. It's gems like these that will get you in the black in no time.
That one post could have easily been worth 22 points.

It's really distressing how much fatter he is than Obie.
January 28th, 2011 at 8:18 PM ^
It's really funny how that orange is looking at him......
January 28th, 2011 at 5:44 PM ^
And his helmets will have wings.
January 28th, 2011 at 5:44 PM ^
Bryant is a big time commit. We will likely get Jordan Diamond if we get Bryant.
Simeon is a good school to have an "in" with, and it will be nice to be able to target it.
January 28th, 2011 at 5:47 PM ^
Don't jinx this shit for us. Let's get Bryant first and go from there....
January 28th, 2011 at 8:14 PM ^
I said, "if we get Bryant".........
January 28th, 2011 at 5:46 PM ^
was supposed to be a long shot anyways. Arizona O-line coach bill bedenbaugh just left to go to WVU, and illinois is still illinois. I think we have a good shot.
January 28th, 2011 at 5:48 PM ^
at Pitt as he did at Michigan? If so, why is he going so hard after Bryant? Besides the fact he's beast, he does not exactly fit the protypical OL for the scheme Magee has been running.

January 28th, 2011 at 8:16 PM ^
He's going hard after Bryant because he already had a relationship with him. There's a lot better chance with a guy you already know than with a guy you are starting fresh with......
January 28th, 2011 at 5:50 PM ^
So my guess is Michigan but I still worry a bit about Mitt.

Michigan
January 28th, 2011 at 6:09 PM ^
hey Tex... I was concerned about McGee too, but if we think about it, what on Earth can he say with a straight face, after selling the Michigan program to him for so long? That the new program is better? I mean, I would think it'd be quite transparent, and if a recruit cannot see that, well....
Cooper will be Blue.
It is Willingham who is the one I'm sweating about. Only because I think he is gonna be great.

After the beat down of Sparty last night in Bball he is caught in in the fever that is Michigan!
January 28th, 2011 at 6:09 PM ^
I'm hoping for Michigan, expecting Michigan, but am doing my best not to jinx it.
January 28th, 2011 at 6:11 PM ^
What if he has a hat malfunction and accidentally chooses the wrong one? What would you do in that situation?
January 28th, 2011 at 7:15 PM ^
that Marisa Tomei won an Oscar that way

Imagine you're a deer...blah blah blah
BAM! A FUCKING BULLET RIPS THROUGH YOUR HEAD!
That's what she won an oscar for.

Remember if we get bryant we may also get Diamond (his teammate buddy OL stud) next year. Bryant is tremendously important to us...

I don't remember Sam Webb saying anything about Bryant during the Recruiting Roundup. He talked a little bit about Rawls and Barnett. Said Rawls might get an offer even if he doesn't already have a qualifying test score, and that he believed that Rawls will be in the 2011 class--thinks he'll sign an LOI with Michigan but still have to work to do on his test score. Sam also repeated what he's been saying for awhile--that if Rawls doesn't qualify, Michigan should do everything they can to get him into prep school for a year.
Also said Michigan has a good shot at Sherron Dorsey-Walker for 2012 on the basketball side.
Podcast is now up and can be found here.

This thread should have really just been a direct question to BKfinest. Where is he when we most need him, at times like these?
We need a BKfinest bat signal to go along with our TomVH bat signal.

The guy got to know Bryant by selling him on Michigan. He can't turn around now and bash U of M without looking like a snake. Not that I'm implying he would try to use negative tactics to recruit the kid. The only big question seemed to be whether Hoke and our new coaches could create a relationship with Bryant like Magee presumably had, and TomVH's interview seemed to assure us that is the case. Let's hope it works out.

Starting to think it must be 7:30 central time....
January 28th, 2011 at 7:58 PM ^
Yes, now that you say it, it is.
I guess I can stop F5'ing like a madman.
January 28th, 2011 at 8:17 PM ^
Chicago, Illinois would be Central time, so yeah.
