Where were you when you heard?
Where were you when you heard about the Tressel resignation news?
I was at the US Airways ticket counter at Metro airport on my way to Boston. I overheard a skycap yell the news to the ticket agent. I immediately pushed my wife out of the way, confirmed it with him, and spent the rest of the preflight wait sharing the news with everyone in a Michigan t-shirt.
still hungover from cheetahs and a batch party.
Any insight from the MGoCommunity on decent to good strip clubs in Detroit? Im going up there in 2 weeks for what was supposed to be my brother's bachelor party...the bitch left him high and dry, but the rest of us deemed it appropriate to carry on with the festivities. Early morning golf, Tigers game, booze and boobs. Thanks in advance.

I woke up a little later than usual (Memorial Day drinking, despite having to go to work). As is routine, I fired up the laptop, which goes to homepage ESPN.com and saw "Tressel Resigns".
I'm on the West Coast FYI, so it's not like I woke up at 2 or anything, not that I have to defend anything.
I woke up a little earlier than usual (serious) at 1 in the afternoon. Did the same and got my laptop out and went to my homepage of mgoblog. Saw the thread, was like "no wayz dawg!" and went to Yahoo to confirm (it's a bookmark, gotta love Yahoo) and saw it.
Then I put my jersey on, walked into my parent's room (home on college summer break) and announced the news as my dad smiled and mom grinned despite her being from an all out Ohio St. family.
Good day. This is like the anti-9/11 for the fact that I'll remember the morning action for action for awhile most likely.
My uncle sent me a text while I was sleeping at 9:20. Like those 5 hour energy things that helped me power through my workout.
I was in the kitchen. I was cleaning a dish, and I heard it.
mehhh
dane cook...so 4 years ago
Maybe so, but that's actually what happened. I woke up, realized I had forgotten to do some dishes from the night before, turned on ESPN and turned it up so I could hear it, then I was cleaning a dish, and I heard "Jim Tressel has resigned."
I figured it was oddly appropriate.
Well in that case, apologies.
My girlfriend texted me I thought I was dreaming or she didnt know wtf she was talking about
found it on ESPN.com, read it over breakfast: Bagel, OJ and Schadenfreude
I got up around 8. Did my usual rounds on the net on my iPhone. Turned in tv and saw the news on espn and immediately went to mgoblog land.
And then I got pissed at the vest for trying to overshadow our veterans!!!!!!
Rolling out of bed with a justice boner
I was in my bed, minding my own peace in my sleep. When my father stormed in and yelled "GOOD BYE SWEATVEST" and I immediately jumped up flipped open my laptop and saw it on espn.com. Then I ran a marathon through my house.
You have a big house.
On my computer being a geek, when EDSBS tweets it and I pick it up on TweetDeck.
My sister called an gave me the glorious news at around 10am. I usually hate waking up but not today my friends, not today.
Heading home from a 12 hour night of drinking at miss maes here in nola
Oh how I miss her... Many a night turned into daylight as I left that place.
After driving back from a Memorial Day event with the family, looked at my twitter feed and saw about 100 tweets by UM posters. Figured something must be up, and confirmed with Brian's eloquently text-message post.
I woke up at a friend's house, and checked mgoblog on my ipod touch (as I always do when I wake up). When I heard the news, I cheered so loud that I woke up my friend. It was worth it.
at breakfast with the fam for the holiday weekend... hashbrowns never tasted so good...
Sat up in bed and grabbed my laptop to check French Open scores. Went something along the lines of "ok, yahoo... sports... alright, Tressel resigns? Neat, ok tennis... wait, WHAT??"
I came downstairs at about 7:00 this morning (in California) and pulled up ESPN to see what was new in the world of sports. I have been smiling ever since.
When I checked the Mgoboard on my phone when I woke up this morning! I ended up not needing coffee!
Woke up (hungover) to 11 text msgs telling me sweater vest peaced out. Couldnt believe. Ive never felt so good being hungover. Anyways, turned on espn just to be safe. Needless to say, I was one happy dude.
Antoine Dodson, Wolverine?
...via Twitter. Same way I found out about the Osama Bin Laden op. Not quite as happy, but close.
"Same way I found out about the Osama Bin Laden op"
Same here, but I found out about both via mgoblog
My buddy (OSU fan) simply texted:
"Tress is gone"
Living in Columbus, I get to see the implosion first hand with a euphoria that only Charlie Sheen would understand.
my morning joe and logging into Mgoblog and immediately screamed like a schoolgirl at a Bieber while knocking over my 2 yr old twins and high fiving my 4 yr old who was looking at me like I was madman with a mile wide grin! What a day man, what a day.
My friend texted me as I was sitting outside at the lake. Good news.
I was sleeping, until my brother called me and told me to check out mgoblog or elevenwarriors for that matter, It's been festive ever since
I had just woken up, saw it on espn.com on my phone and gasped. Read the article and had one thought ... maybe he would be a good Auburn QB coach.
reading my iphone
which is OBVIOUSLY the most reputable reference and fastest to break news.
My Girlfriend woke me up because she just read it on tmz on her phone.
For the memorial day parade and one of my friends got an espn alert on his phone
Turned on the tv to watch the SDS game replay and hopped on my MGoBlog App to drop a line in the Memorial Day thread and it had just been poster here. Pretty much before anywhere else.
sounds like an Alan Jackson song. "Where were you when you heard Tressel gone"
To pay he toll at the Mackinac Bridge. VIA Facebook.
9:06am: I was in bed checking Mgoblog on my iPhone when I saw the thread. Maybe the best Memorial Day ever.
Woke up on a king bed in an Atlantic City hotel w/ 3 other dudes.
