Where to watch EMU game in Fargo?

Submitted by Jorel on

I posted this in the Michigan bar locator sticky, but, quite reasonably, no response.  Does anybody know where I could watch the Michigan-EMU game (with volume) this Saturday in Fargo, ND?  It's an 11 am CT game on Big Ten Network.  Good news is the Gophers aren't playing at the same time, to the extent that matters.

Perhaps the answer to your question is the absence of responses. I highly doubt we have regular Fargo ppl here. Just go to the one bar in town and ask to turn their rabbit-eared TV to the BTN. Though unless there's satellite, you'll likely get Minnesota or something

Working with the Nigerian government to get the prince's funds out of the bank?     I've sent in my $2,000 to get the funds released, so I expect mine to come any day.    Unfortunately for the prince, I'm going to keep all $200m for myself.   Screw that guy.

Your best bet is any of the Buffalo Wild Wings in the FM area - you may need to ask someone to put it on but they'll have it.  If you're downtown, OB Sports Zone would be your choice.

Go to my parents' house. They live on Prairiewood. They've got satelite so they have BTN. This way my mother can watch her precious Huskers. Make sure to bring a gift. Old Man likes him some Petron for his margaritas he so zealously makes. Mom tends to be more of a wine person. If they've gone to the lake for the weekend, ask them for the security code to the garage. Offer to wash any dishes in the sink. There's a univesal remote that handles all six of their silly entertainment systems. You'll want "watch satellite." Use the bathroom upstairs. If you go downstairs, my old room should still possess some old Michigan trinkets like a 1993 regional NCAA Tournament size small t-shirt and a poster of the 1999-2000 admissions standards and data. These MUST be displayed for good luck if watching a Michigan game in the house.

Dude's from Fargo and he likes Michigan. The only other people I know like that are me, my parents by association, my ex-girlfriend, and two other highly advanced girls who ended up attending. By my calculations, this guy has an 83.3% chance of being awesome.

I love it.  I don't have many points because I rarely post, but I've been around for quite a while.  Nevertheless, I'll probably forego disturbing your parents; though I appreciate the precise estimate of my awesomeness.

You see, I'm not from Fargo; but I'll be there for a wedding.  And, despite my advanced age, I do know how to use Google.  I'm not particularly indolent; rather, I thought a kind user, such as NDSU_Blue, would know the area well and could recommend a bar that not only subscribed to BTN, but would be happy - even eager - to put on the game for me, and perhaps a few other like-minded Michigan fans.

Major props to FgoWolve and NDSU_Blue.  Thanks guys / gals.

I just moved here. It's not that bad. Nothing like the movie that was filmed in Brainerd, MN. There actually is some civilization here (~200k counting the "metro" area). Cable here does not carry BTN so I had to get Dish.

...that Tailgators in Fargo is a great place to watch BTN games. I went to school in Fargo and watched many Michigan games there. Great food and atmosphere. The place is right off of Main Ave. and University Drive.
