Where does the Beachum Commitment Stand?
I haven't heard any real news lately regarding Big Tex Beachum. Does anyone know if he has a date that he will announce if he is sticking with his commitment or coming to the Big House? I know that Sam Webb thinks we still have a good chance, but I have not heard him say that he has a "gut feeling". Any new info would be much appreciated. Thanks and Happy Holidays!!

Not real sure how much more informative it could be. If you're so strapped for time that you can't take 3 seconds to click on this link and decide whether you want to read it or not you definitely need to manage your time a little more efficiently.

This board typically demands more information in a headline than simply the name of a player or recruit. For instance, if the subject of a post is Cissoko's dismissal from the team, the headline shouldn't simply be "Boubacar Cissoko"; "Cissoko Dismissed From Team" would be more informative. In this case, "Update on Big Tex Beachum?" or some other headline telling board users that the post is of an inquisitive nature would be the norm here.

Please make your thread titles as informative as possible: "Justin Feagin" is bad. is dragging out? Just because Beachum hasn't called the garage dwellers at Scout or Rivals yet doesn't mean the coaching staff doesn't know Beachum's decision.
Cullen Christian was a silent commit since May. That situation "dragged out" too, but only according to anonymous Internet message board posters.

I apologize for failing in my subject/title of my post. I looked through the board and didn't find anything current or relevant to Beachum's commitment. I recall having heard that he had set a date for his decision, but can't seem to find that anywhere. From what I have heard he is higher on Michigan than Hankins is. However, that may have changed based on feedback Hankins is getting from his recruitment as of late. I don't want to be one of those that get hung up on stars, but we offered to a lot of lower rated players early on and when we have legitimate shots at some better players we either don't have enough spots to offer the talent that is out there, or we are recruiting 3 guys for the same position and they all want playing time. A tough sell and a tough job for us.
Hopefully, we drastically improve and we can be chose more carefully early on for 2011.

Horray! Unfortunately I have no new information- sorry! I guess watch and see what happens with Ash today. Ash + probably Hankins= Unlikely Beachum.

I haven't heard much on Ash and unfortunately it was a cold weekend when they were in town. I can only hope that the Pahokee Posse showed him a good time. It definitely helps having so many kids from Pahokee here already. Keep the Pahokee pipeline flowing.
