When will Rivals final rankings come out?

Submitted by TexanGOBLUE on

I know we have a few commits that are not ranked on Rivals.com. Does anyone know when those rankings will come out? I hate to keep seeing blanks next to our guy's name. I know we use a one star default for our B1G team rankings, but I want to see MOAR stars!

They haven't even started their senior seasons. Give it some time. Also keep in mind that there's 4 Big Ten teams without a commit. We don't need to finalize EVERYTHING this soon.

WOTS is that Rivals is trying to screw over Michigan in any way possible, so those four guys are permanently going to be 0-stars.  BECAUSE EVERYONE HATES US!!!  DOWN WITH RECRUITING SERVICES UNLESS THEY RANK ALL OUR GUYS AS 5-STARS!!!

Worry about it, all that matters is that they are all 5 stars to the coaching staff with the chance to compete for a starting job once they get on campus.

If that's the case, why even bother following recruiting?  I definitely agree that we should give the coaches the benefit of the doubt, but they don't provide grades on their recruits, so we're sort of left with the recruiting services for that.

Comment sounded a lot more serious than I intended it to be after reading it. I'm just saying that we as a fan base have been spoiled the past couple weeks with recruiting we are all waiting for the next guy to commit right after one guy commits. I love following recruiting it's become a past time of some sorts I just think we shouldn't care as much about the stars, if they love Michigan and the coaches love them then they are all 5 stars in my book.

It's fun to follow recruiting, but the bottom line is that I am always going to trust the coaching staff.  If Brady Hoke and staff think enough of someone to offer him, I am going to assume that they know what they are doing, no matter what the scouting reports think.

It's a lot of fun to see the recruiting class ranked number one or very close, but I don't worry a lot about what the services think.  Sometimes a three-star rwho knows his role and plays it with every bit of his heart is just as important as the five-star getting all of the attention.  I trust the staff to know who they need and why.

However, that still doesn't make it any less fun to know who is going to be playing in the Maize and Blue in following years.

Michigan has now already recruited a great class, another top 10 class for sure.  What M needs most of all now is to recruit a top NT who will be ready to play as a freshman.  Even if Pipkins proves he has the ability to start at NT by the end of his freshman year, he will need a backup in 2013.  While Richard Ash could be that person, we need to have depth.
