Definitely possible.

That would give Michigan two lottery picks, another likely first-rounder in Irvin, a high-potential point guard, a European player who could have gone pro, SPIKE, Dawkins (eventually likely a late first round pick)...that's a stacked team on par with the blue bloods from this year.  There's no guarantee that maximize that talent...but they would have the potential to be special.

How long will it take IU to fire Crean?  When they do and get a competent coach in there, they would be my pcik... assuming of course they continue to recruit like they have been.

If UM gets Brown (15) or Langford (16), then things will start looking up.

If we're going to put a totally arbitrary O/U like that on it, then based on conference performance in the last 15 years or so, I'd feel pretty safe in taking the under on this one. Even though the last Big Ten champion was Michigan State in 2000 (will not count Maryland here, as they were in the ACC in 2002), the conference has been the runner-up on six separate occasions, which isn't too shabby at all really. We're right there, I would say. It seems like a hell of a hump to get over, but I think we can do it within five years if we keep sending a decent field to the tournament.

I have to say the under, just because the Big Ten obviously has no problems getting teams to the Final Four. I think the conference has had at least one team make it 7-8 times in the last 10 years. Eventually someone has to break through. Wisconsin could've done it last night, bad calls or not.

Yes, Duke got some calls that went their way, but that doesn't explain Wisconsin missing free throws or going into a scoring drought late into the game last night. Yes, Michigan got hosed by the refs when Burke's CLEAN block was called, but it still doesn't explain the fact that Louisville was shooting lights out the entire second half, which forced Burke to have to play hero ball.

Are there some blown calls in those games? Oh yeah, absolutely. But Big Ten teams also helped dig their own graves by either not making shots, or not playing good enough defense when it mattered most.
