When is Prince Holloway going to commit?
So, a while back, I remember this board being under the impression that Prince Holloway was going to commit to Michigan on his visit, either the 21st or the 28th. Has this visit happened yet? Or is his offer still on the table? Because imo, we should really try and lock up a WR in this class, and this is a guy who we've known to have established interest in Michigan.
Here's his Scout profile for anyone interested: http://michigan.scout.com/a.z?s=162&p=8&c=1&nid=4205080
FWIW, though he lacks the size typical in a Brady Hoke offense, Scout lists one of his strengths as his downfield threat.

If Hoke doesn't want Luiecen(sp), I doubt he'll keep Prince's offer.

Hoke: WR do not want. He's the anti-Millen.

Here's to hoping that statement is true on many levels.

Prince is a small, slot guy. He is also Dallas Crawford's cousin, and with Dallas cooling on UM, I am sure the feeling is the same from Prince. Since RR's firing, there has been no mention of any visits or continued interest from Prince. If Miami offers (not sure where they stand) I see him going there to play with Crawford.

you are on this board a lot so I have to assume this is sarcasm, but I just don't get it. You have to know that this staff is not in the market for any WR.'s given what has transpired with Lucien and Flowers. Again, if it isn't sarcastic, I don't mean to offend you but I have to question your deductive reasoning ability.
Oh, and if it wasn't sarcastic, the answer to your title is never...The coaches won't be taking a WR .

I understand that the staff is not looking to take a WR, but with the amount of interest Holloway has in Michigan, and with his committable offer already at hand, I was wondering if things were going to be different for him... he publicly stated that he would commit to michigan on his visit.

Hoke said no to Lucien and Flowers. Holloway is not on his radar. You better hurry and catch the yellow bus.

No two receivers are identical, so I don't think this is a ridiculous question unless it's already been asked, or they've said they are pulling the offers to all receivers in this class. I mean, I assume this to be the case, but it hasn't been said AFAIK.

I seriously doubt it will happen. I haven't heard anything about Holloway since RR was fired. Plus, I don't see us getting a WR this class, unless Hoke pulls one out on signing day.

to bash Prince but was there some issue with qualifying? Also there has been mention of no more wide recievers in this class.
side note: PH is probably one of the fastest kids who had interest in Michigan
and he looks like he's waiting to hear from Hoke

According to Scount, "He reports a 2.8 core GPA and a 16 ACT and 740 SAT. He retook the ACT on Dec. 4 and is still waiting on his results. He plans to major in either pharmacy or finance".
He needs to set his sights on the SEC where grades and test scores don't matter.

...is if his last name is Arnett, and since that isn't happening, we're not taking a WR.

I wonder if Hoke is holding a WR slot for Conway, and planning on his possibly being here for the 2012 season (assuming grades at GRJC/CC are sufficient for admission to UM.) At 6'4", Conway is big enough, which would seem to be a plus to Hoke. If Conway does indeed make it here, I could see Hoke really downplaying the WR position in the current class.
The other thought is that Hoke may be holding out for 4 & 5 star WR recruits in the 2012 class, rather than adding middling receiver recruits this year who may never see the field very much. I can not fault Hoke at all for focusing on the defensive line, linebackers, and secondary. If we also have 3 offensive line recruits coming in this class, Hoke can afford to wait for more on the offensive line until next year.
