to programs like Bama's and OSU, especially OSU. Wouldn't be surprised if OSU has 70-80,000. Then again we are talking apples to oranges. OSU is a world class program playing for championships every year, Michigan on the other hand is not, and doesn't really excite anyone. Remember, this is a program that was giving away tickets to actual games just a season ago.

Michigan gives me great joy. Every November the fine folks at UM allow my favorite coach to ass fuk them. There is little in the world that is more enjoyable to watch. I would never want that to be taken away. I thank god for UM every single year. Michigan is OSU's favorite bitch, that's why they pound it so hard.

You sound like you live in a house without a television. OSU is about to put a record amount of players into the NFL, half of which are 3 yr. players, is this the " frustrated " group you at speaking of ? LOL. You are a idiot. They come to OSU and Urban because they know it's the best prep for the NFL, not to mention they want to win. You shouldn't try and compare UM to OSU. They are not even remotely close, OSU is a giant of college football, UM is a school on its 4th coach in 6 seasons that haven't won shit in over 20 years. That's simply the facts. Urban is 50-4, understand ? 50-4 man, UM hasn't been 50-4 since 1903. OSU just raped UM and crazy Jim in their own house, then he shit on the kitchen table, ass fuked Jims wife, and then left with crazy Jims car without even saying thank you. Then when crazy Jim was interviewed about the crime he was unable to speak, it was hilarious, but in his defense I'm sure his pussy was still quite sore.

Who knows. There were no turnstiles or counters, unless the folks at the gates were clicking some kinda handheld devices, which I seriously doubt.

I'd estimate that it was somewhere between 45 and 55K. If I'm off, I'm probably shorting it, rather than the other way around. It was a very healthy crowd.

Anyway...it was one helluva good time. I doubt that the Spring Game has ever even come close to at least somewhat replicating an actual game day atmosphere before -- and I gotta say, this one actually did.

We totally lucked out insofar as parking goes. Being almost completely unfamilar with AA in general and just kinda driving around, we lucked into a metered street spot right in front of some Thai restaurant (forget the name) on S. Main. Walked around a little bit and hit M-Den and had a great late lunch/early dinner at Jolly Pumpkin.

After we parked and got out of the car, a local Ann Arborite was walking by and said, "Oh man, nice spot -- I'd definitely hold onto that for this evening, because there's gonna be nothing left soon." We had arrived a little before 4 PM and paid for the maximum time of 2 hours, and I asked, "are you sure we're OK?" And she said, "Oh yeah -- they stop checking these things after 5:30."

Good piece of advice, as we returned to an un-ticketed, un-towed vehicle after the game.

I guess Pioneer was kinda hellish to get out of afterwards, from what I've been hearing.

That is damn impressive...

The way some were bitching about the Friday evening game,  I thought it might end up being a embarrassment instead.

That Harbaugh guy might actually know what he's doing...

The weather worked out for the second straight year. Looked rainy a week ago and then on gameday it was 0% precip.

Would've sucked if the game was today. It's snowing.

I wouldn't mind another night spring game. Just have it on Saturday.

so much. it is a gas, and heaven knows, it would be so much fun to have a bowl game somewhere, anywhere, with an SEC team when the snow was flying sideways into the earholes of their helmets.  i'm guessing the balance of power on the whole might tip rather dramatically toward the B10.

To get 100,000 in the stadium you have to have everyone sitting close together and occupying a single seat.  For the spring game people spread out.  So even through the stadium appeared a little over half full, I doubt it was at half capacity.

the sections along the sidelines had decent numbers, but they weren't gameday density.  There were a lot of 1-2 seat gaps here and there between groups of people.  The endzones were pretty much empty except for the first 5 rows or so.  Still a lot more than I expected.

I would have guessed closer to 40K. The east and west sides were pretty full, but not packed in like a game day. Still, for a Friday night spring game that is damn impressive.

I estimated 40K sitting in the stands at halftime when I left. Looks like it filled up more as the game went on. Lots of people in the concourse areas coming and going.

If we include every single person that entered the gates at anytime (like a game would) I would say 50,000.
