What Other Big House Improvements Would You Like to See?

Submitted by MGoShoe on

Over at MaizenBrew.com, MaizenBrew Dave has listed ten additional things to improve at Michigan Stadium.

Here's the abbreviated list:

  1. Install a Slip and Slide
  2. Live Wolverine Cage By Visitors Locker Room
  3. Rename One of the Suites the "Up Yours John Pollack Memorial Suite for the Elites"
  4. A Slushee machine in Section 18
  5. Install Cloverfieldtron
  6. If You're Gonna Install Lights, Install 'em With a Dimmer
  7. Put in a Few More Entry and Exit Gates
  8. Install Trap Doors Under the Visiting Fans Section
  9. Bring the Huron River Closer to the Stadium
  10. On field Holding Pen for Other Team's Convicted Felons

Here's my number 11: Apply a small electrical charge to the seating during "key plays" to prevent anyone from yelling "Down in Front"

Number 12, etc.?  Number 5 covers scoreboard improvements, so that's taken.

It is amazing how much you miss peeing on the wall at the Big House when you know you can no longer do so.

By the way doesn't it seem like the waterless urinals would get really disgusting after a while?  I just don't understand how those would stay clean with no water washing the urine away

The "traps" have to be changed out more frequently (not real traps, just scented oil really). But they never are, so they end up being pretty stinky and corroding the drain.

They probably put them in to get some LEED points, but they end up being more expensive.

Sorry if this is more than you ever wanted to know about plumbing.

Compared to that Purdue game. It rained so much harder to be completely soaked, then dropped to such low temps the outer layers turned to ice. People left that game by tens of thousands. It was near empty. And if anyone questions the conditions...look at the score.

there with you on the 95 purdue game... that was your typical day in weather for michigan... when we left my uncles at 9am it was 55-60 degrees out, we heard the weather report on the radio that it was calling for rain, sleet and snow... my uncle said that there was no way that the temp was going to drop that low for all of that to happen... well as we all know it did... i had a good time that day,  at one point my dad and i were cheering for it to rain harder... by the end of the game my poncho had pretty much fallen apart... here are 3 non weather related things from that game: mike stone (stoney) sat behind my dad and i and was not prepared for the weather at all, him and his buddy bailed for the victors club at half time, mike alstott set the record for most rushing yards by a fullback, and chuck winters had the cleanest uniform out of anyone on the field that day and he played the whole game...

our epic 2010 45-17 beatdown of Sparty and our even more epic 2011 spanking of then #1-ranked OSU 55-23, clinching our berth in the NC game.

1. Vuvezela stands.

2. Acquire Mel Gibson to fire up the team before games, sans baseball bat.

3. Salad bar sneeze guards on the announcers booth for is Lou Holtz comes to town.

4. On a serious note, I loved the idea of a concourse that had 10ft tall statues of former Heisman winners in their best poses.  AWESOME!
