What kinda cool M stuff did you get for Christmas?

Submitted by San Diego Mick on

So every year me and my gal spend Christmas Eve with her big family before we come back to my place and do our gift exchanges.

She gets me lots of stuff every year and part of my gifts this time were real comfy M Bath Slippers, awesome BBall shorts with pockets, long sleeve Maize Shirt with a Block M and Helmet, I love the look and an M Apron and Spatula for the BBQ,

Big score for me and I don't feel like a geek at all, the M Den really appreciates my gal. So what did you guys get, anything cool?

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope everyone has an awesome holiday season!

It's a compilation of all the background music NFL Films has used on 8 CDs and complete liner notes.  It comes in 1-inch thick book with a pebble grain (think football grain) border on the book.

My wife was paying attention when Steve Sabol passed away and I came across this on YouTube and Ebay.  It's AWESOME!

MERRY CHRISTMAS and GO BLUE!

which may not seem that great.  But I just received a grant for a tandem bike and indoor trainer for work (research in Parkinson's Disease) and I've been talking about buying the shirt so I can wear it during my indoor riding sessions.  The best part is one of my patients that will be participating is an old MSU grad.  He'll be riding in the back of course.

Got a diploma frame because I graduated on the 16th.  Won't receive my actual diploma until sometime in March most likely, but at least it has a home!

Couple M hoodies and sweats.  Needed the sweatpants big time!

From my wife and kids. Best part... She ordered the Schutt, like Denard wears. Not because the Schutt is that much cooler, but because SHE knew the difference. I am blessed.

I happen to have a friend who is a UM diehard and got me a Michigan Marching Band Album and shot glass. These two items will go well with my other collection of Big Ten memorabilia.  From your enemy down south Merry Christmas MgoBloggers!

A new hoodie. Pretty rad.

I got my dad hockey tix for his birthday (we're playing Bowling Green that night, so it should be a respite from this down season), but for today he got a new M skull cap of the sort Denard and Devin wear under their helmets

I got a pretty nice long sleeved maise clima cool shirt from my brother.  Can't wait to rock it to the UM/UCONN game next September.  Living on the east coast I have to settle for watching UM usually play PSU.  Instead this year I am gonna watch with my CT friends as we stomp them!

Got a Maize #3 Basketball jersey, Maize hoodie I've been looking for for about 4 years, 900th victory t-shirt, some long adidas black socks, earbuds, calendar and oh, this guy was probably the biggest surprise:

It's so fitting that he's staying right next to my signed Mike Hart helmet.

For my 11 y/o son and basketball player:

framed Fab Five photo

#3 Trey Burke UM new uniform

blue and maize thin mini wrist bands that the bball team wears

UM hat

Charles Woodson rookie card

Jalen Rose rookie card

Jalen Rose card in UM uniform

Glen Rice card in UM uniform

Charles Woodson Starting figure

blue and maize jelly beans

UM candy bar

.... the uniform was expensive ($110) but the rest was fairly cheap.  Now that I look at it all, I think it was sort of UM over-emphasized... but then I remember, that is impossible to do.

My grandfather used to work for Bo and since he passed away a couple of years ago, my grandma has slowly been giving his stuff to my dad and me...

This year, I got a Michigan apron signed by Ron Kramer, a piece of the field turf before they re-surfaced it in the early 90s, and an old school Michigan flag.

Not to mention she got my 10 month old a cheerleader uniform for next season...

Got my dad the Michigan Daily's History of Michigan Football book, and had Lloyd Carr sign it. Interestingly enough Carr was a family friend of my dad's roommate at UofM, so we had a nice conversation.

Also framed some old newspapers of our national championship pages he saved, so now Rumeal Robinson and Charles Woodson adorn our basement.

As for me, just more blue and maize wear. Hockey jersey was an early gift I got before the season. Bought my little brother a "Michigan Brother" shirt, he loves it.

I received the Michigan grilling utensils and my 6-month old received the bib and Michigan sippy cups, but the beat reaction was seeing the smile on my little 4-yr old daughters face when she opened up her new "go blue" as she says hooded sweatshirt. She immediately put it on and wore it over to the in-laws house! Gotta love when your kids embrace our obsession!

My 3 kids (actually momma paid for it) got me airfare to go to Orange County Cali to hang out with my brother who just moved there from Denver, do an extreme mud run, and watch the Super Bowl with some of my oldest friends.

No kids for 4 days!!!

My mom (also known as NANA) comes up tomorrow to spoil my kids, so I'm sure there will be 2-3 items from the MDEN in there for me!

Life is grand!

My wife got them for wearing on the flight down.  It's fun to read this thread to see how many of these items an old Blue like me has collected over the years.  I am jealous of the commemerative Bunyan trophy.  Merry Christmas to all! Go Blue!

I used some of the designs I had posted a few weeks ago as iPhone wallpapers to make custom t shirts for my family - I think they turned out pretty well!  They haven't been washed yet, so I dunno how well it'll hold up.

Finally I can ditch the 2009 M hat and wear my new Michigan M hat with my new Michigan hoody. I swear this is the warmest sweatshirt I've ever worn! I also got an EMU sweatshirt and Michigan pajamas! Yellow with blue block Ms :)

Canvas picture type deals. It says the words "michigan wolverines" ande each letter is a portion of the big house. So it looks like the stadium, but broken apart, only contained within each letter. Also got a Michigan hoodie. And my sister got me a Michigan alum shirt as part of our ongoing mocking of the Walmart meme. Also, she got a Michigan pillow pet and named him walvie lol.
