2016 can't get over soon enough!

Edit: I meant his as a comment about the inordinate amount of deaths of influential people we have had this year. Not to comment on the posts today. Sorry if it came across that way.

I mean...pretty sure the same amount of people die we're just more interconnected than we ever have been in 2016 and hear about more of them. I would have never ever learned that Ken's son died just 10 years ago. though I do think there have been a seemingly unusual amount of famous deaths this year, I think that plays into it as well.

The people who were on TV and the radio when we were kids are now all old enough to die of natural causes (and also probably suicide because omgAmericastahp). That is all.

to kill its fucking self. When your young you can fight it off but over time your body loses its ability to fight cancer cells or your arteries just get too clogged. One day your body will achieves its goal of killing you. Let all hope we can have a long life before our doom day arrives.

...a very religious person.

But over the years, I've come to believe that simulation hypothesis/theory (I'm not going to Google it for you) is possible, especially given the power of the brain.

Combine that with most of the facts about the universe laid out by Bill Bryson (not going to Google it for you), and with everything that's happened in 2016 (in all of humanity, but Cubs, for crying out loud), I predict...

...the Lions will make it to the Super Bowl. Matthew Stafford will be leading a 4th quarter comeback. Matt Prater will line up to kick a 68 yard field goal to win.

And a comet the size of Ohio (worst state ever for more than one reason), completely missed by astronomers, will make impact in Houston and obliterate humanity, a la the dinosaurs.

Thereby revealing that Bobby Layne was, and forever will be, the oracle.

No, actually TRILLIONS of creatures living on this earth die in every minute of every day. Old shit dies and new shit develops living mitochondria and steps in to replace the dead. that's life.

Ok but i don't get why the obsession with celebrity deaths, especially when they didn't contribute anything of note for years and years. First time i noticed this was Michael Jackson...this shit was on CNN for a whole 12 months, but his last hit was *20 years* prior? And how many kid raping trials in between?

Really? You don't get why names know in common by many people are talked about? Should each publicly unknown name be obsessed over when they die by the bunches every second? When someone you know dies you talk about it with other people that also knew them, celebrities are people that many people know, they know them through media, media talks to us through media the same way they talked to us about them when they made them known to us. Now you know.
