Welcome to October
I hereby put forth the assertion than an evil force has set it's will against Michigan for the month of October. I have no solutions however, except patience.
See you guys on Monday at the earliest. I'm taking Brian's suggestion and avoiding the board for the next couple days.

It's like 6 hours from November (with daylight savings adjustments).
But i share your frustration.
Go Blue, have a spooktacular Halloween.

On the bright side, there's only one October. Right, Dane Cook?

Actually there were two:
10/04/2008 Illinois L 45-20
10/11/2008 Toledo L 13-10
10/18/2008 Penn State L 46-17
10/25/2008 Michigan State L 35-21
10/03/2009 Michigan State L 26-20 OT
10/10/2009 Iowa L 30-28
10/17/2009 Delaware State W 63-6, WOO. PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME.
10/24/2009 Penn State L 35-10
10/31/2009 Illinois L 38-13

And November brings with it Michigan basketball, which will (god-willing, who knows anything anymore) be a wonderful balm for the football season's wounds.

Gee, what team gets off to a hot start against a weak nonconference schedule, upsets Notre Dame, then collapses in October after losing to its in-state rival? The fact is, we just had a Sparty collapse (yeah, I went there) and we need to make some changes. Until we get a non-crappy defense, we will be on the outside looking in, just like Michigan State was for John L Smith.
It's time for RR to fire some assistants at the end of the season (ESPECIALLY Jay Hopson, who has been crap as a linebacker coach and crap as a recruiter) and for Michigan to cough up the big bucks to pick up a big-name defensive coordinator. We have the money and need to just suck it up so this team can do well. RR was not hired to coach defense, and being cheap on defense is not the recipe to success in the Big Ten. RR has screwed up some as well, but we're locked in as far as he's concerned until the end of 2010; it can all still work, but the status quo is just failure.

Michigan has won one game in October in 2 years with Rich Rod. And that one win was against Del St, so that's zero wins against FBS teams in 2 years in October.

I heard they don't play games in October in the Big East. Someone should tell RichRod it's different in the Big10.
