Baxter and Stills are the type that you take regardless of position.
With that said, I'd be more than a little surprised if we turn Baxter.
November 17th, 2009 at 12:50 PM ^
baxter? wow that'd be a huge pickup and is a very unexpected visit. I have no reason to think that we'll get him but let's hope for the best this weekend.
November 17th, 2009 at 2:20 PM ^
I hope we can get Baxter too, I heard he can eat an entire wheel of cheese.
November 17th, 2009 at 2:29 PM ^
That's amazing!
Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee.

When in Rome.

It smells like turds wrapped in burnt hair.
November 17th, 2009 at 2:41 PM ^
I was waiting for that.
November 17th, 2009 at 7:38 PM ^
I could eat an entire wheel of something like smoked gouda. Don't think I could choke down a wheel of cheddar. Just too strong after a few pounds. Baby Swiss could also be doable.

While at UofM and living in an apt. on Hill St., we were given 2 huge wheels of brie cheese. One of my roommate's moms, who was a reporter in DC, iirc, gave him (and by extension, all three of us,) two of these massive things from France, more than 15 inches in diameter. We thanked our good fortune. At first. However, we quickly discovered, there is only so much Brie one can eat. It wasn't great on sandwiches. And without an internet search engines available in the late 70's, it was tough finding recipes that included the stuff. Even today, there aren't many foods that include it as an ingredient. Besides, at that time, we were more of the beer and chips crowd, not wine and brie.
Before too long, the entire apartment reeked of Brie. Everyone who came through the door would get a strange, troubled look on their face, wrinkle their nose, sniff, and ask, "what is that smell?" Even worse, if you ate too much of it, Brie had certain, umm, odoriferous effects on the lower intestinal tract. Not something you would eat much of before a date.
We discovered novel uses for the stinky white cheese. Forming a one inch ball of the Brie, and placing it in a funnel sling shot, provided hours of cheap entertainment. I'm sure that the apartment complex maintenance man wondered what in the world gunked up some of the window screens and was stuck up on the exterior brick walls. It was definitely a case of "too much of a good thing. . . "

November 17th, 2009 at 1:09 PM ^
he's not coming here.
November 17th, 2009 at 1:06 PM ^
That's good, I messed up in my post in that thread anyways. Now no one can see my mistake!
November 17th, 2009 at 1:16 PM ^
Could you edit the title to make the content a little clearer? I clicked on this thinking I would see a thread concerning who was visiting this weekend.
Dude, people, get your shit together on posting correctly. It's not that hard.
November 17th, 2009 at 1:29 PM ^
There was a visitor thread on the board a few moments ago. That's why its in quotes. And that's Brian you are writing about.
November 17th, 2009 at 1:33 PM ^
Is he one of the recruits for 2010?
November 17th, 2009 at 2:34 PM ^

November 17th, 2009 at 4:43 PM ^

Looks like you are in a race with Wolfman to see how can hit negative Mgopoints first. I give TarHeel 2:1 odds. Anyone taking Wolfman?
November 17th, 2009 at 1:35 PM ^
Can we burn this guy at the stake for heresy?
November 17th, 2009 at 1:49 PM ^
is probably Mitch Albom, after all he'd never heard of Brian either.

Sarcasm AND irony!
This deserves a Wolvy-plus!
Extra kudos for so many people not getting the joke.
November 17th, 2009 at 4:13 PM ^
I figured one or two might not catch on at first, but good lord huge negging on the more obvious secondary sarcasm. Thank science for you Misopogon. I was starting to lose my faith.
November 17th, 2009 at 4:46 PM ^
I missed the first one but got the second.
November 17th, 2009 at 5:16 PM ^
and thinking the second post was an obvious save face.
November 17th, 2009 at 5:46 PM ^
I do not accept your decree of shenanigans. That's it, get your broom.
November 17th, 2009 at 6:24 PM ^
Dude, Black Friday is coming up. I suggest you go out and buy a new Sarcasmeter because yours is obviously broken if you couldn't see the sarcasm in his original post.
November 17th, 2009 at 1:24 PM ^
they're offensive recruits but it's not like our offense is stellar considering we're ranked 10th in total yards during conference play.
November 17th, 2009 at 4:43 PM ^
