Week 5 Rankings
So here are my week five rankings compared to Colley and ESPN. I am calling them MARS for "minimally adjusted reduced score". I have copyrighted my process as MARS or the MARS rank.
This week 32 teams were required to represent the top 25 of MARS and the two comparison systems, Colley and ESPN. Things are tightening up as Colley and MARS were common on 20 teams, ESPN and MARS were common on 21 teams, and Colley and ESPN were common on 21 teams. Nineteen teams were common to all three systems in top 25.
Miami FL remains my biggest outlier, with Wisconsin also a notable omission. South Carolina, Pittsburgh, and UCLA are my questionable inclusions.

Why won't you share some of what you are smoking with the rest of us : -)
Iowa-2 and Wisc-3.
I am not even going to bother to read after that.

Did you honestly copyright this thing?

I would like to see how your rankings work. Miami beat two teams above them and lost to your #11. So far, I would say they have had the toughest schedule of any team in the country and they still pulled out a 3-1 record.

I am putting a website together that will include the methodology. In my system, Va Tech took a large share of rank points from Miami with the 31-7 win.
My rank history for Miami is
wk1 #39 with close win over FSU
wk2 #57 dnp
wk3 #24 with win over Ga Tech
wk4 #74 after crushing loss to VT
wk5 #51 after squeaking by OK

on your own website, you might be able to have it listed in Massey's Rating Comparision

Does anyone do a ranking something like this? I would think it would be interesting:
Win: +10 points
+ Difference versus the spread (e.g. if a team favored by 7 wins by 4, that would be -3 points and vice versa)
= Total Points
I think this would be pretty indicative of who the real teams are.
