I am just going to go ahead and say that the last panel may be eerily accurate, at least when it comes to this week's TWIS. I assume many of the Texas comments we will see were typed or tweeted by fans who were in fact bleeding out their eyes as they were commenting.

Dead inside, anyone else?

So, 24 plus hours later and I realize I'm kind of dead inside when it comes to my football fandom. The 49ers gave up on this season before it even began with the moves or more appropriately lack of moves they made this off season. Until yesterday I still had some hope a season that didn't crush my soul was still possible out of UT. I could see improvement, I was able to focus on the possible future this team could have. I'm not bailing on either Charlie or the players, but I'm just kind of dead inside. I now realize any hope of anything but total disappointment is and was futile. I known this probably didn't NEED a new thread but I was kinda wondering if anyone else had reached this point. I'm not angry, or sad, or disappointed anymore. I just kind of feel no nothing when it comes to football in general.

I sat through Rout 66, the first half of the 65-13 OU asskicking, and some other painful losses, but I've never felt worse as a fan in my life than I did after yesterday. I think yesterday was just the final realization that we're entering a dark, dark time, the likes of which we haven't seen in more than 20 years. How long it lasts, I don't know. But yesterday I realized there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

It's the train.
