he's a really persistent troll. At first he tried to make logical sounding arguments, as if a Michigan fan, and he wasn't denigrating M, just telling like it is. He was terrible at this, got banned, and didn't even know it. Which means he's stupid. And the persistence means he's really obsessed with Michigan. It's a close call, but I'd say stupid + really obsessed means Sparty fan rather than Ohio.

Staying put sounds about right. I hope we get lucky in the next few weeks. Still rooting for them to get into playoff, howsoever bleak it may seem.

Their OL is a weak point, but their offense has been improving with Saquon Barkley at RB. Their overall offensive numbers are better than Minnesota's (check out the S&P+ and team efficiencies on ESPN). The S&P+ numbers actually have their offense closer to ours than Minnesota (Michigan #45, PSU #59, Minnesota #87).

I really hope you're right. Though we thought our D line would dominate MSU's beat up and injured O line and it didn't really happen. MSU's O line was playing pretty bad in previous weeks leading up to our game with them. So I wouldn't take too much stock in PSU's O line struggles. Their whole team may get pumped up to play us in that white out game.

I think the rule is that most night games are set by the conference before the season. If you want to change a November game to a night game during the season, both teams have to agree to the change. I have my doubts Michigan will agree to it especially with Ohio State in the following week. I really believe the latest that PSU game will start is 4 or 5pm, but most likely a noon or 3:30pm start. The X-factor is the MSU-OSU game which is the same week. What time does ABC/ESPN want that game?

Using Sagarin Numbers (and we did this exercise with Minnesota, so take it for what you will), the predictions for the remaining games (which will likely not correlate to Vegas) would be:

Rutgers: Michigan favored by 26.15

Indiana: Michigan favored by 17.71

Penn State: Michigan favored by 6.08

Ohio State: Ohio State favored by 1.36

At least for the last two games listed, I could see that right now based on overall profile.

Being the highest ranked 2-loss team over Ole Miss and UCLA shows how much the coaches respect Harbaugh and Michigan while Texas A&M and Mississippi State in the top 25 show that SEC West bias. Bascially if you play Alabama, you get a 2 spot bump in the polls.

Next week has a couple good matchups that may make more room ahead (TCU @ Ok. State, FSU @ Clemson) and some possible upsets (ND @ Pitt, Iowa @ Indiana, Stanford @ Colorado, Baylor @ Kansas State, Utah @ Washington, MSU @ Nebraska). I am not sure if it is better for PSU to be a top 25 with a win over NU or if NU winning is better for UM, but a ranked PSU will be Michigan's fourth game against a ranked opponent, not including Utah.

I am just happy Michigan got the win last night. It was actually nice to see them play with resolve and have to come back. Hopefully they can get healthy and back on track.
