Week 1 WMU Preview @ Pre-Snap Read
Didn't see this posted and I always enjoy reading Paul's stuff at Pre-Snap Read. If you've never read the blog, he counts down teams until the season starts. WMU checks in at 71 and has some good info on who to watch, etc.

The Western Michigan game is going to be a lot closer than most people think. this is the best their offense has looked in a while
We were actually saying this prior to the '09 game, but yes they'll probably be a handful
I would be shocked if the game was within 14..
Dann O'Neill. I'll bet he feels a little let down about how his college career was affected by Bill Martin.
From all accounts he was vastly over-rated
I saw him play in high school. Didn't quite get the hype.
They were supposed to keep it close too. I can't see a close game in the opener. Even switching offenses, Denard can take off at any moment. Our defense can't possibly repeat last place of FCS schools.
I think Michigan is going to roll over WMU. This will be a statement game and Hoke will want to make a big impression heading into the next week's showdown with ND.
he also won't want to show ND too much.
You guys will beat WMU. It will be the beginning of another exciting "September Heisman" campaign.
Let us know when MSU has a Heisman candidate and more than one good season in a row.
Your school hasn't had a legitimate Heisman candidate since Woodson, and he probably should have lost to Manning. The hype just doesn't match the results.
Well since Woodson, Michigan has had Anthony Thomas, Chris Perry, and Mike Hart all as legitimate Heisman candidates. Perry finished 4th I believe in the voting in 2003. So you are wrong.
Mike Hart and Anthony Thomas were not Heisman candidates. Chris Perry was invited to the Heisman ceremony, but that was an extremely weak year.
Mike Hart was very much so a Heisman candidate along with Steve Slaton in '06. Now run along and hide little man.
Mods, can you please show this douchebag the door?
You're so right. I mean Charles Woodson was just the most feared defensive player in the country, made big plays as a WR, and returned punts too. Yes, terribly over hyped for the results. He was bar none the best college football player
And then...

So yes, it's so easy to see why Woodson's results don't match the hype....they exceed them.
3 to Nothing. Michigan wins the Heisman competition. Try again, troll.
