Wednesday NCAAFB: Rutgers @ USF

Submitted by formerlyanonymous on

Special teams coverage is laughable. Rutgers returned a punt with 5 unblocked guys in his face at the catch. All 5 assumed fair catch. Guy runs right past them. 10 blockers were then on 6 defenders. Touchdown Rutgers.

The ensuing kick off, returns it 63 yards, but there's a hold on the opposite side of the field unrelated to the return, therefore pushing USF back to the 12 yard line or so.

1st Q just ended, tied 7-7.

Go Rutgers!!!  I had to take them as a double digit dog against a fellow average Big East team

That said, I find it rather amazing that Schiano has a winning record at Rutgers. They were 40-80-1 before he got there. It was the farthest thing from an instant turnaround for him. And, finally, this year he nudges past the. 500 mark for his career there.  I know a lot of fans here dont like these new teams, but the more the merrier where I come from. I've enjoyed watching him build this

yeah, great description calling the program that played the first ever college game a new team.

I sometimes get the feeling there's a demographic on every college football board I've seen that's got a bug in their butt about all these upstart programs that have popped up into prominence the last decade or so. Not a large demographic. But they can be loud.

I like the new faces. More teams to watch. More games to watch. I like it.

Go Rutgers. Schiano made 2 guys co-offensive coordinators. That never works. It's killing them this year. Also, their offensive line this year is kinda like UM's defense. Yeah, that bad.

A little UM tidbit BTW. CB Charles Jackson committed to Nebraska today. I know we were interested. Crap.

"That's what Denard Robinson does at Michigan."

The fact that the pass was a wounded duck made that description even better.

Dr. Lou in his USF gear. Can we just not have him on TV unless he's in the studio ever.

USF seems to be moving the ball at will, their RBs are running through many bad tackles.

Edit: Never mind.  Rutgers actually made a stop on 3rd and goal.  I take it back.

Good grief, Rutgers.

That was pretty big for the spread. At +10.5, I could have survived if USF gets back to back TDs. Now, I would lose. Come on Schiano, think of the gamblers next time
