We won on an off day

Rich has been plugging away at the fact that we are not a good enough team to win while having an off day.  Today, we beat a decent football team while having an off day. (5 turnovers, a missed field goal, a turnover on downs, horrible starting field position on defense, a banged up QB...)  I still believe that if we played to our potential the last three weeks, we'd have had at least 2-3 more wins.  It's good to see an off day go our way, and its even better when you figure out what that implies.

Outside of Purdue, I don't think we win any of the next three games while having another off day, here's to hoping we can string 60 minutes (or more) together, something we have not done since the OOC schedule...

On a side note, if you were calling for RR's head last week, and saying the buck stops at him, please keep to your story.  And if you feel like throwing him an extension for his Best Show on Turf, please remember that during our next loss...

This coaching has proven thewy can hang with anyone if the the O executes.  The defense continues to prove they are extremely young and the D coaching staff has random moments of extreme clarity as well as moments of extreme bewilderment.  The results of this combination continue to be exciting nail-biters that can turn exhilarating or disasterous depending on any number of factors.

The only thing I know is, if the defense plays like they did today in the final two weeks, 7-5 is the very best this team will get this season.  The offense has the potential to score on anyone at any time, but the defense needs to get at least four stops during a game to the offense an advantage.

That 4-hour thrill-fest was exhausting, fantasic, but still exhausting.  I'm glad I was there to see every minute.  Once I got to my seat at 11:45 am, I never left until the team left the field.  What a day!

since 1968 is that I continually get to remind people that I remember when they wanted to fire someone, or when they were badmouthing my favorite 19 year old, or when that crappy qb was awarded an NFL contract, or blah, blah, blah.

Had another argument with my best friends son. Just listening, I could tell what radio station he listens to. I changed the channel.

Yes, I take pleasure in reminding them.
