Maybe Lou knows by now that whatever he says, generally the opposite comes true. He wants Michigan to fail, so he is predicting a halfway decent season. I bet later this week he will call them a dark-horse BCS championship contender, and Forcier the front-runner for Heisman.

This is coming from the man that in the pre-season before Notre Dame's 3-9 season picked them to have 10 wins.

7-5 is not a doomed season. Is it the ceiling for this year? Surely not, no. But it's marked improvement over last year.

How is Notre Dame going to play in the MNC against Florida as he predicted with a loss to a 7-5 Michigan in week 2?? Does he really think they will have enough time to clime to #2 after that? Notre Dame will win 10 games...from now to the middle of next season.
